I thought you were a fan of the RM Williams Kingsvale chukka in kangaroo leather.

Went to see A Most Wanted Man tonight. If you enjoyed the Smiley films you'll really appreciate this. PSH is excellent in final role commits too many crimes against sartorialism IMHO. The film makes no mention of Abbott and Bishop.

Brilliant, Gerry, Brilliant.

Are they unlined bark pecs from Dents? Might I ask, did you get them for ~180 Sterls?

Thanks, JH. They're not made by Dents. I got them through a friend here in Melbourne
and I'll put more information up once I get the details from him.

I had a look at the new MJ Bale catalogue - it's very 50 shades of navy.

I get that their target audience is people who are just being introduced to suits, but even a mid grey or charcoal would be nice.

Complete absence of odd jackets too (not that I'm into OTR blazers).

Lots of navy but I think this is the better one I've seen in recent years.

Hard to make out some things from the catalogue but if you go to shop and whats new you can see some of the items.  Some good knit ties there with colours reminiscent of HC offerings, an interesting brown windowpane odd jacket, the riverton blue is a separate jacket with an interesting texture, no straight charcoals but some grey offerings including a 3 pce.

Think the only wtf would be

Navy is the is staple, right?

Didn't I read somewhere that the four suits you should own includes navy, grey, charcoal and a mid grey?

Just navy and grey really.

Beautiful day in Canberra. Just packed up and signed out of TCH, now awaiting flight back to melbs. Hit up a few cool places: Hippo Bar for end of term drinks, and Lonsdale Street Roasters this am. Have to say they have matched up to Ona beans. Well done. Gonna miss Canberra.
