I personally prefer options 1, 3 and 5.

Thanks mate, normally i just get topys and heel but thinking about picking up something second hand that looks like it needs the full resole

Man $120 is about a quarter of the price of a new Carmina. Does anyone know if we get stung in Aus with resoling compared to overseas (like with everything else)?

Here's a fit pic -- brown in town:

More here. Wish the lighting was as good for the brown tie as for the blue one. :p

Kayhill, may I ask where you got that shirt?

Luxire, hahaha. Everything's coming up Luxire with me these days!

I'm probably getting a suit made by them some time soon too.

Would anyone happen to have any suggestions for where to get some linen, or cotton-linen pocket squares with contrasting borders?

I've got a few from Kent Wang that have a piece of extra cloth stitched around the edge as a border - I'm not looking for that type.

What I'm looking for are pocket squares which are made from a piece of linen (in, say, white) where the edge has been dyed a different colour (say, sky blue) for a margin of about 1cm around the edge of the cloth, and part of that edge has then been folded in and hand-stitched.

I've got a few examples from Herringbone that I got a few seasons back, but they are made from silk and are too soft to make peaks - when I try to get them to stand up, the points simply flop over in my pocket.

Does anyone have any decent, affordable recommendations?

I have a linen one from Vanda which is great.

"Made of pure linen from Lithuania, this fabric was custom woven for us with yarn-dyed borders. The yarns are dyed blue first, and are then interwoven with white yarns to form borders that have a beautifully variegated tone. In comparison, other linen pocket squares with printed borders simply lack this complexity in tone."

Thanks, SS.

I have seen those and did consider them (and I've got quite a few ties and pocket squares from Vanda), but I'd ideally prefer a wider contrasting border at the edge of the square.
