My thoughts from a visit to Mornay Street this arvo:
I agree with quar - La vera from Luciano looks really promising. Really light, drapes fantastically, and amazing details. The tailoring requires a different approach to the fit as well to compensate for the amount of drape as there is no canvas. You can definitely see and feel the jump in make quality, subsequently reflected in price. Would look farking amazing in a SB. Note that they're only offering jacketing at the moment - pantalones to come later. Not sure if a DB would look as good in this style, and I've got DB in my mind for early next year. Some high twist Loro fabrics coming in (similar to jjminnis, as an italian version of fresco), and I'll probably pick from that bunch to have something made. At least I walked away with some staple workwear today, and got to spend some time in that wonderful store.

You can get chest canvas if you want something more traditional. My coat has a chest canvas. Orazio Luciano also have much wider access to fabrics than the Danish PJ workshop. Holland & Sherry, Lesser, JJ Minnis, Ariston, etc. I ordered something from the JJ Minnis Fresco II Book.

We post stuff overseas weekly .. Its expensive

Smaller stuff we use auspost and over 1kg we use DHL

So if you were posting a shirt to Norway, you would use the regular mail system with Aus Post? Or would you get the tracking at $90?

I send stuff regularly overseas with Australia post using the regular airmail, takes about 2 weeks or slightly less to pretty much anywhere. My stuff is always under 500 grams generally so doesn't cost too much. The lack of tracking is a pain ********** but people just won't pay the $40 or so to cover the cost and I lose money on postage as it is.

This was discussed a couple of months back so it might be worth a search to see what the outcome was.

Not sure where in Melbourne you are but for jeans Dakota 501 on Chapel Street has a good selection (I like the Natural Selection brand), as does Pierucci and there is a Nudie store there too. In the city I think Incu has a few brands and Ance jeans are supposed to be good (their store is the GPO).

Not really sure on too many other places, maybe Up There (search google for that one). I am sure there were a few choices so try searching the thread and maybe one of the wiser minds on denim like thebrownman will offer a better insight.

TBM knows quite a bit about jeans. Shoot him a PM.

Picked this up from PJs today just in time for.... 5 weeks of sitting in mothballs!

Don't know what the fabric is, but as you can hopefully see in the photos it's essentially a flannel that's actually really lightweight. Think it's an Ariston. I think it will prove to be a lot more wearable than a traditional flannel suit in Melbourne. I wanted something grey but with some texture - I think flat grey suits are really bland.

Nice suit! It's a very versatile colour and one that you'll be able to wear with any number of things, The fabric definitely looks more interesting that the standard mid-grey. Any reason you went for the ticket pocket?
