The thing I hate about facial hair, is that once it gets to a certain length, I can't stop stroking it. Surely you get that with your mo?

Mr Porter has a secret "EIP" (Extremely Important Person) program for accounts that spend 10K + a season. Heaps of benefits, especially access to exclusive sales at crazy prices. Items that even on the public or founders sale don't go past 30% are before anyone else has access to them on sale @ 50% for a select few EIPs. I really want to gain access to EIP for the next mid-year sale 2013, if any big Mr Porter fans want to get together and share an account to reach the $10K mark please let me know. I am sure if anyone is as keen as I am, we can work out the logistics of sharing an account in private. I only managed to do ~$5k this season by myself. Need help :). The more the merrier. Once one of us has access to an EIP account, I'll be happy to proxy for other Aussies during sales.

Not 100% compared to PRL, have tried them on in store but do not own any.

My last batch were sportscraft and they certainly fit smaller than those.

I'm a 37S there abouts and the medium KW fits perfect.

As much as I hate to provide fuel for FHX's fire (which I understand is mostly discarded socks...), is it normal for suede to fit 0.5 sizes larger right out of the box? Despite my woes with the Church's Legate today, I got home and changed right away into the Perth to check fit etc, and they're actually a great fit - quite substantially bigger in the toe box in particular.

Could it be a labeling error at the factory?

I recently picked up some Howard Yount grey flannel and Epaulet navy donegal tweed trousers as well as an Epaulet button down oxford. I couldn't decide between the HY's and EP's so decided to pick up one of each and I have to say I am impressed by both. Neither require any modification except for hemming and both are a true slim fit with a lovely drape. If I had to pick one over the other I'd give it to the EP trousers by the smallest of margins as they just feel really, really nice on but to be honest I don't think you can go wrong with either. Shirt is really nice quality too although I think the neck might be a half inch too big. Apologies for the crappy iphone pics.

Thoughts on these Carmina Chelsea boots? Half of me really likes them and the other half isn't quite sure.

Thanks for the Howard Yount and Epaulet review :)

I don't like those boots. I think the natural edge trim against the black is too sharp a contrast for this execution. Normally, I'm a fan of natural edge trims with such uppers as navy suede, burgundy or brown cordovan. This one, I don't like. In any case, Carmina make excellent shoes and they'll serve you well, but personally, they're not my cup of tea.

BUT, we're all just guys on a forum - if you like them, don't let my opinion cloud your judgement.

I took these for the Luxire thread, but they may as well serve as a promo for Henry Carter Neckwear + the great knot they tie (nothing to do with my own tie-tying skills)...

Thanks Lachlan, and I must say Luxire have done a good job on the collar of that shirt too.

Cheers

My pleasure. I'm sure I'll post some fit pics next winter. :)

My spider sense was tingling over the exact same thing. I like the natural edge and I like the black calf but just not together. Thanks for confirming the same. I'm looking for a quality shoe that I can wear on a 'biz casual' Friday at work but also with jeans/pants/shirt when I'm out for a nice dinner with my wife (as an example). Budget $500ish. Any suggestions?

Dark brown RM Williams Kangaroo chukkas would work.

By the way, I know we're heading into summer here but has anyone seen this before? Patrick Johnson's tips for winter dressing.
