Welcome back journeyman, the thread has been missing your insightful input....

Any latest acquisitions? I actually picked up a couple of shirts from Richards & Richards recently.... A chambray and a blue with button cuffs, forgot the brands but paid 60 each!
Was extremely tempted with the SM suede single monks but only if they were chocolate not tan....

FXH

I want to have rob make them.

I'm ordering 6 because I just want to drive a white Fiat 500 and chill out in khakis and a Brooks Brothers oxford shirt like your average American in Central Park. You know what I mean?

The green in the chukkas actually work quite well.

Indeed I am, and I will be, Dad got a new camera from the insurance company and it has an auto timer!

1) Sluttier T - something a little longer, with a different shape (bit more drape) will flatter you much more. A good indicator with Ts is if you bring you hands above your head, the T should just reach your belt (unless you're delibeately going for a cropped look - which you aren't). Which your T it looks like you'd be semi flashing people.

2) The colour palette is fantastic - except for the jacket which is a bit too bright for the rest of the outfit.

3) I think the pants either need a cuff, or to be a bit longer for maximum staxxxxxxxxxxxx, but that's my preference

Otherwise, congratulations on a fine fit. Fix that T and you'll be epic.

Thanks LM, I was pretty happy with it. I do need some sluttier tee's, I'll look into nique. Not a fan of stax at all.

So much this, I don't like the way 95% of girls in Australia dress. Need more next level #womenswear in Australia.

Examples of shit I love. (Click to show)

^ Foxy, I see you're heavily into the Hentai schoolgirl look.

I'm telling you now, you are too young for that. Liking that look on a gurl is strictly for dirty old buggers like me.

I recently ordered an LE Hyde park ocbd, haven't taken delivery of it yet, by the sounds of it it's not going to fit well though... I'm too lean.

My LE's order just arrived. I now know that the Hyde Park OCDB (16/33) in a tailored fit is a pretty good fit, but the shoulders could do with coming in by half an inch to an inch. The regular on the other hand is an absolute tent and even the collar measures almost a half inch bigger (WTF?).

The shirts are well built for the money although I'm a bit stuck with the shoulder width. If I size down to a 15.5 I'm not going to get the collar done up. But it's going to be close. Maybe I could just move the button a 1/4 inch?

I generally fit a 39 or 40 jacket size with shoulders at 18". Is it too small? Living in Sydney so generally won't wear more than a shirt underneath.

You might be alright. I am generally a 42 (occasionally a 44 in slimmer brand) with shoulders at 18.5". I can wear this jacket but it is a bit too tight (one size too small) and I wanted to wear it with layers underneath which does not work.

If you only want to wear it with a shirt it might work (no promises though). As I have said before it is a great jacket but it is a proper vintage wax number (with that look and feel). I really wish it worker from me and have had it for a while, but sadly, it has got to go.

I have a pair of Carmina penny loafers on the simpson last in UK 10 in mid brown which are just too big for me. I've worn them literally three times, so they're in quite good condition - minimal stretching on the vamp, and the sole is just broken in. I purchased these shoes from American Tailors during the sale they had. I am willing to let them go for $250, so I can put the money towards another pair that fits. PM me. Shoe trees not included.

Edit: Happy to hear offers also. Thanks!

Thanks mate, looks like a nicely foxed jacket. I bumped up the bidding a bit but not feeling that baller today.

Melbourne really is "down under" in the sartorial sense of heaven and hell.

Dante never mentioned what level of hell those who commit sartorial crimes are sent too. Probably they will spend eternity wearing Polly-cotton suits and underwear.devil.gif
