Got a pair of Sutor Mantellassi loafers recently. Here's a picture of me loafing around in them in a no stopping zone -- breakin all the rules, yo:

Just landed in Japan and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the inflight duty free magazine on JAL. Most of the menswear pictures looked great (something I could see myself wearing on a day to day basis) and examples of the things you could buy would be Ring Jacket, Avirex outerwear, Brooks Brothers ties and Ships. Beats the crap out of anything else I've seen offered in any other inflight magazine.

I'm staying at a hotel recommended by fxh and it's cool. Found the MTM place at the end of the street but it was closed - it's still amazing that a smallish neighbourhood like this has something like that. The clothes looked pretty decent as well. Weather's pretty much the same as it's been in Melbourne 13-17 degrees.

We only got to the hotel in the evening so I'm hoping to see a lot more tomorrow.

Hope you're all well.

Mrs GF "that sky blue shirt you just bought?"

GF Yes?

Mrs GF "well you already have one identical to it"

GF So?

Mrs GF "why do you need two of them if their the same?"

GF There not, their different brands one is CT the other is LE and the colour is slightly different amongst other things. (Quickly sinks head back into SMH).

Mrs GF "well they both look the same to me" Considers more but then goes to hang shirt up.

GF thinks this is going to cost me.

Last time for me was 2005.biggrin.gif Sigh been too long.

As for white T shirts I bought some Duchamp at DJ's last year on sale for about $15 lightweight fabric held up ok I tend to wear them more in winter. Also got a couple of Blazer one's from Myer thicker fabric in what I would call an Arctic white holding up. Sigh I miss Hanes b t's now they were t shirts, had a thing for grey ones till they started making them in Mexico and Guatemala then China absolute crap now.

OMG, you are going to get a denim-orgasm there.

Please please try to fit in Isetan men's shoes section.  Lotsa pics of course.

If you are into ramen, check out Mutekiya at Ikebukero (grab the Yamanote city circle train- the light green line).  Mutekiya is on the main street of Meiji Dori and you wont miss it because there will be a long queue.  Also, if you can, grab lunch at Joel Roebuchon. Fantastic bargain for an out-of-this-world experience.

Will your mother approve?

Make sure you get the Hyde Park Suprima cotton. Noticed in that LE sale they had some which were a cotton-polly blend.( shudder)
