Belated tax return plus trying to get my shit together to fly to Singapore tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the suggestions by the way. Was really only looking for shopping stuff as there will be no time for any tourist stuff other than eating out in the evening, but hopefully I might at least get to pop in to Uniqlo and such.

I should caveat what I said with 'if they have it in stock'. I know a few people on here have purchased items from Betty not listed in the online store, but I'm not sure how much of the collection is on hand.

Rob, I've gotten one pair of shoes from Betty that was in a store but not listed on site so if you see something you like, there's no harm in dropping her an email to see if she can organise it for you - she had the store ship them to the factory before sending them over.

Anyway, now we can talk about whatever. What were we saying about women, again?

Hang on, you've been holding back all this time? Boy oh boy wowee is this thread about to blow up now Jimmy's in town.

Weekend is going to be incredibly boring, but hoping to catch up on some sleep and reading.

In other news I seriously scuffed my RMWs, how to repair? Tried some dubbin, no effect, tried some cheapie polish - no effect. Looks like the polish got worn off, not the leather, but unsure how to proceed.

Might need to finally call DM and get some non-randomly-for-free shoe care products.

Recent name changes have meant I've had to abandon plans for a troll account combining the best of Michael Sy and Foxhound. It was going to be called, wait for it:

Michael Fox

or

FoxSy Lady

Oh what could have been...

Cuff links, tie pins I've always favoured rose gold over silver, personal preference.

Not a gold fan sorry mate.

Would consider it for a wedding band though.

Get it buffed. Condition, and then cream polish.

All the cynics say that gold is going to skyrocket in a few months/years.

Consider it an investment.

Onia on sale at DJs for sub-$100.

I got some Calvin Kleins in what I've realized is actually Klein blue, about $100 not on sale. They fit well and I buy swimwear approximately once a decade.

Same kind of non-elasticity flat front thing as OB, nice material but the lining just doesn't dry quick enough for the whole 'beach to bar' thing to really be a goer...

If it's really badly scuffed, so that calf skin has become suede like, and they aren't brown in colour, a good shoe repairer can paint over the scuff. That way, the scuff takes the polish more easily after painting and won't lead to an oily mess.
