Rob, stop posting that picture. Almost everyday I visit the O&J website just to look at the green chinos, navy jacket, white shirt and driving mocs. I go in this trance for about 30 seconds. It is so good, it isn't healthy.

Every time I show that picture to my wife, she exercises her veto. :-(

Who gives a **** what the general public thinks? You don't want people to "rib" you for being gay yet you seem overly concerned about what a bunch of tradies would think of you on the street?

Yeah, c'mon Binney....be a PRINCE!

....and remember 'fortune favours the brave'

God knows we need Oz men to be braver with their clothes and embrace style.
Lunchtime in Collins ST shows what some are capable of....but still disappointingly so compared to to NY - or even London (that bastion of conservatism) And them..are nothing compared to Milan or gay (lighthearted/joyful) Paree!

Melbourne Only.

What do you guys think of this jacket: http://www.styleforum.net/t/262887/pjohnson-tailor-full-suit-navy-cotton

The measurements are very close to mine. I might meet up and try it on.

The seller is wanting $350 for the jacket, but I can't do it at that price, might ask for something lower.

I reckon the fit-pic collage sounds like a fair bit of work, not sure jaypee will necessarily be up for doing that. lol.
Romp, do soft shoulders cost more for PJohnson or are all their cuts priced the same, and it's finishing that raises the price?

Geez this thread motors on quick...

Strangely enough, but most comfortable pair are the N&Fs. The crotch is just about to blow on them, so I’m going to take them to self edge in the US for darning

Going to grab either of pair of Strike Golds or Flatheads in NY or San Fran when im over there too..

... snip ...

I haven't seen it said in this thread in particular, but I have seen it said on SF that suit jackets should not be worn as a blazer/sport coat. No doubt someone better informed than me can elaborate on that, as I don't know the rationale.

I also prefer less lining on odd jackets, but at the same time, cotton is pretty appropriate for MC Casual wear. If you need any inspiration, see this thread.

Heads up, looks like 30% off some suits at Herringbone, for anyone interested / not on the mailing list.

Edit: Just realised he's selling the whole suit now ...

Generally this is used as advice to stop people wearing classic business suit jackets as odd jackets. PJohnson typically do more casually styled suits and as such they can work as odd trousers and jackets.

Cheers for the link! That is what I have been trying to look for the last 20 minutes.

The question is whether the said jacket can work with odd trousers.

Being cotton and with contrast buttons like it has I'd say it will work fine as a blazer.
