Was anyone looking for a chocolate suede belt?

The Herringbone warehouse/factory outlet on Commonwealth Street (Surry Hills) has a couple. 20% off their usual marked price, $79.

Picked up a pale pink PS for $16.

Amouage Opus III, Lyric, Gold, Ciel and Dia $150 a bottle (normally $350)
Quite a few L'Artisan for $50 a bottle
Some Lubins for $100
Brosseau testers for $15 a bottle.
Frapin (can't remember the price on that)

I was able to place a phone order with Nick, but they are incredibly busy, so it's hard to get through. He's charging $15 for couriered shipping.

Ah after your post on this (and cross post your haul from the scent thread) I decided to give them another try and got through to Paige who was very helpful, so picked myself up some Idole, L'artisan and a frapin.  Score.

Hey guys,

Probably the best place to ask this due to the climate here.

I'm finishing my masters this year, and will likely be working in S.E.Asia (Philippines mostly at this point). My field will require suits occassionally, but 80% of the time no more than shirt/trousers/tie optional. However, I'd like to put in a bit of effort and was thinking odd jacket and trousers would class it up a bit without going full blown suits all the time.

The weather is my main concern. What colours and materials am I best off with; considering Manila's year round, excruciatingly hot summer (edit: though I will spend most of the time in aircon I suppose)? I have a decent collection of good ocbd, one odd jacket (midblue double breasted) and the casual side of things is covered for when I'm not at work. In terms of work shoes, I don't have much suitable for meetings/interviews etc. (All my "dress" shoes are loafers, having said that I think I can wear these 80% of the time). What would be my best option for footwear though, keeping in mind I have to fit this stuff in one bag etc. so am aiming for versatitlity.

Of course, I can buy stuff there, but I'd like to head over with a decent (if somewhat minimal) wardrobe that is fairly professional, yet also not too 'hard edged'. N.B. I've lived in Asia and travelled extensively in the region.

Lastly, I don't contribute much to this thread/forum as I simply don't have the knowledge of you all. I feel a bit guilty always asking questions, but I'd like to thank everyone for being so helpful. This place is/has been an excellent resource for me! Thanks ya'll

Lightweight wool, in an open weave or a fresco. Anywhere between 8-10 oz.

Dress Shoe: I'm a brown-shoe kinda guy. But that's also because I wear navy suits more often than any other colour. You shouldn't go wrong with a chocolate calf captoe oxford. Or a black calf. Really up to you. What is your meetings/interviews suit?

Note: Black will probably be the most common colour of shoes of those around you, so depending on how much you'd like to distinguish yourself, or are comfortable doing that, you may opt for brown.

Sounds like you don't have a formal / dress shoe at the moment. Which is why I didn't suggest a brogued wingtip. On the scale of formality, a simple captoe is more formal than a brogue. Yet it gives you the versatility to pull them off with your dressy denim (with an odd jacket, for example.)

I'd like to be in sweatpants 80% of the time, but I'm not. Leave the loafers for.. loafing.

The L'Artisan Parfumeur range at $50 a bottle is very good value. I think they are usually north of $140. Lines like Dzonghka and Poivre Piquant are always nice. They ar every nice people; the best bet would be to head dow there and tell them what you have to spend, see what they've got.

Apart from cologne, they apparently have some things like shower gels, moisturiser etc, which will be much cheaper.

Good choices. That Idole is fantastic and a steal at $100 - RRP is about $250.

Which Frapin did you get?
