Okay, just checked the trees last night. The Epic trees are wide, and you will have difficulties fitting shoes with narrow lasts. I believe another SF member (cannot remember who ATM, sorry) already warned us previously on Epic trees width.

Meermin's Hiro last is already a generous last, but the EPIC M size will not fit Size UK 8.5. If you have medium width fitting, I suggest be safe and either go one smaller or choose another tree.
On the other hand, if you do get trees that are marginally too big, there's always sandpaper.

Go for a cravat or neckerchief instead - it will help to wipe the mud off your face!

White linen suit for summer, tough mudder? ;)

Everything looks too tight.
I don't get the fascination/appeal of wearing tight fitting clothes.

Please don't go there again... we've been over this already, last week.

I am going to Singapore in November and i was going to have a look at Ed At El shoes. Has anyone purchased from them before? I just want to know what the quality is like and where they are made? I have looked on their site but i am still very new at buying good quality shoes.

I know what you are saying just funny to read these two lines in the same post. Journeyman's fit has already been overanalysed and I am happy to see his posts here, especially his splashs of colour.
Now to choose a pocket square tie combination for Tough Mudder tomorrow morning...

Surely chamo would be de rigeur? :)

Some pictures of my CJ oxfords in sunlight below.

Now here's the thing, I specifically requested internal machine stitching on my order, since I thought I preferred that look (see the pictures in this post: http://www.styleforum.net/t/142905/pictures-of-nice-gloves/60#post_2548114).

CJ made a mistake and sent my gloves with machine external stitching.

They have offered to correct it straight away if I send the gloves back and cover the shipping (and their CS has been fantastic the whole way I must say), but now I'm having second thoughts!

What do you guys think?

I'm also a little concerned that, since my gloves are unlined, the internal stitching might be somewhat uncomfortable or annoying - I'm going to ask them what they think about this. The external stitching is more distinctive and makes them look "handmade", but the internal looks sleeker and more like the low profile second skin look I kind of like.

So yeah internal or external... first world problems...

In terms of a review, the gloves are fantastic, absolutely love them. I think the brown will develop nicely over time. They fit amazingly well. I'm glad I went with the deerskin (has the natural creases you can see in the photo) over cape (had some swatches of it and it has a rubbery, almost synthetic look and feel too it... it's just too smooth. It probably changes over time though). Can't really speak for the quality yet other than to say there are no loose threads or loose stitching etc.

The only negative I will say is that the button is crap. Kind of a glassy/plastic-y/glossy thing. It looks very cheap compared to the rest of the glove. I plan to replace it with horn ASAP.

On that note (I know this has been asked several times but I can't find the answer sorry), where is a good place or website to come by horn buttons? I'll only need 2.

Yes, it was a lot of fun. Your new friend was very sad when you left, thinking that you'd gone to get drinks and would be back.

Checky left about 30 minutes after you did and Appolyon turned up not long after that.

Always fun meeting up and we'll have to do it again soon!

Had a work function last night. Apple cider gets you pretty damn tanked very quickly. Feel like absolute CRAP today. Taking all my energy to barely sit down and look at my laptop.

Sorry I couldn't make it this time, sounds like it was fun. So is Appolyon back in town?
