Brilliant shoes, Jason. Fantastic!

Did you send Meermin a trace of your foot, or just ask for the same size as your Carmina's?

For you blokes not keeping an eye on the Meermin thread, here are some pics of my new MTO
These are probably the most boring MTO you will see, but they are for my wedding so...
Details: Black Freudenberg Calf, Maroon lining, Olfe Last, sunken toe taps.
1000

The Olfe last has a beautiful waist
1000

Couldn't be happier with the toe taps
1000

Couldn't resist
1000

For t
hose wanting a comparison, this is the Carmina Robert last on the left and Olfe on the right. They are very similar in shape and size. The Olfe comes a bit higher up on the heel which is a good thing for me.

Looking good, Jason!

PSA - Drakes new season is out. Have a squizz at the ties on their site... some exquisite, some bad, some just plain WTF???!!!

Thanks Guys I haven't worn them yet apart from trying on, but the fit seems to be spot on. Rob I've found the Robert last a bit looser in the heel but otherwise fairly similar. FWIW, they just sent me inner and outer measurements which I compared with my Carmina's. They are both 9UK.

Re the Drakes stuff, I always find there stuff generally very nice with a few horror shows thrown in. Prob always gonna happen when you have to come up with a few hundred designs every 6 months. Their new look book floating around tumblr is pretty fantastic though.

These sunken toe taps were done in the manufacturing process and I don't know of anyone in Australia that does them. I usually just get my cobbler to put metal ones on for me. They are on no way as good as the sunken ones but much better than nothing.

It's now a 100 Euro upcharge, previously 50 when I ordered. They are probably trying to slow down the orders somewhat. Being honest, the extra 50 Euro upcharge puts you in OTR Carmina territory which i'd prob take first, they seem to have a lot more wearable OTR designs than Meermin does at the LM level. At Linea Meastro level they all seem to be the New Ray last which is very very narrow and pointy.

Gentlemen,
Returning from Europe we stopped in Dubai for the night, picked up a pair of To Boot New York by Adam Derrick they were brogues in the cognac. Where do they sit on the grand scheme of quality?
Being in a sartorial hibernation, l have only recently discovered PJ Johnson Tailors. What am l looking to pay for a suit. They are indeed a revelation!

Handsome shoes definitely not boring.
The AFR has their Fashion special in the magazine today and mentions a place called Lord Coconut any Melbournians familiar with it? And if so worth adding to a must see list when visiting?

Lord Coconut is located in an office building in Flinders Lane, near Elizabeth St. I recently had a brief peek from the outside - it was closed at the time (being a Monday). Looks like he some quite interesting and quirky vintage style 'stuff' (technical term) for blokes. I plan on returning for a proper browse. Lord Cocunut is coincidentally on the same floor as Watchtrader, which recently relocated there.
