Cartier tweed suit, patch pockets, leather buttons. Made in USA. No size marked, but it looks like a US42L on me.

I'd be interested in the tweed suit.

OK, the medallion is different, as is the colour. But boy do they look similar apart from that.

Here's a shot of the sole on my Farage shoe:

The waist of the sole is a royal blue; the heel was originally the same colour.

Inside the shoe, the curve of the heel is lined in a purple suede - somewhat similar to some of Carmina's footwear.

The Farage box (which alas, I haven't kept) was marked "Made in Spain" and there's a stamp inside the shoe stating "planta de cuero" (Spanish for "leather sole"). The only other markings are a set of digits "173861" and the size "44".

Is it possible that I have scored the greatest new-in-box Carmina bargain in history?
These are not Carmina. Only judging form the picture the leather upper looks tired for few month old pair of shoes. Funny enough many of carmina shoe models are even copied by few big name brands. There is a pair of shoes at mr porter sale section looks exactly same as one of my carmina pair.

sounds like a good idea. i remember seeing your straight leg jeans. not too skinny, not too baggy. will the leather patch on the back bare the owen and james logo?

Actually far from it (:
Why not email carmina and ask them if they make shoes for Farage ?
And update us once they confirm.

In a word: no. There's more than one shoemaker in Spain mate!

Farage's house brand shoes are made by L'Stony FYI. They are not bad shoes but not as good as Carminas. I think you'll find yours aren't Goodyear welted for a start, if you look closely...

Well, I hope the RMWs are excellent.

Do't own any moleskins though!

Anxious? Sweet mother of Christ! That was the ugliest game of rugby I have seen in my life. O'Connor is not a 5/8 please somebody deport Robbie Deans now.

True that. Do you reckon QC will get another run on of these days?

I was nervous wreck after that. I remember being at the final Sydney match in 2001 when we won. That was bad enough.

That Versace has all the indications with the label and Versace "chop". In fact even looking at the jacket sitting there it has the fall of the genuine article.

One of my favourite stores has someone who drops size 52EUR Canali suits off from time to time. One unfortunately today had a pulled thread in front.

Yeah, can't really judge 2 pairs of shoes by the just the shape and style. There are goodyear welt vs blaked stitching, quality of leather, quality of construction and quality of finish.

What a heartless thing to say. Next you'll be telling me there's no Father Christmas.

Well-spotted. Mr. Spoopoker also said it was the real thing. Do you know if that is the "pre-death" label, by any chance?

I'll have to find that store of yours. Some EU52s fit me quite well. :-)
