Point 2 for Berg & Berg is the same, and http://meschaussettesrouges.com/ doesn't have a great range of woolens either.

Normally I'd go to Jason but I'm not a fan of Pantherella (sorry).

The Criteria:

1) OTC

2) Wool

3) Under $30/pair

4) Good range of styles

5) Doesn't charge $70 like customshirt1.com.

I'll shout you a pair if you can help me out :)

Checked out Malford of London? He said he was putting up 1200 pairs or something, good quality, from what I remember.

Only 10s and 12s left in both the blucher and wingtip. Didn't ask, but they also have tassel loafers in stock in some sizing. Nothing for me unfortunately, but for anyone else they're great shoes if you can be bothered chasing them up.

I think the 'd-ring' side adjusters look more elegant than the ones with the clip, but I feel they tend to slip more because of the smooth surface of the ring, which means you have to pull on them more tightly?
Thanks. I should have prefaced that by saying that the flannels are just samples and won't go in to production until next winter, they are purely so I can test them out over the Canberra winter to see what changes/tweaks I need to make. The first run will be tropicals for spring around October I'd say. I'll post up more info once I have everything sorted out though. I've not really had an issue with the D-rings in the past, but I wear my trousers firm around the waist. I don't like clip or button adjusters I find they dig in to your waist too much.

Rough price point for the flannels in the future?

I get my OTC wool socks from alexanderkabbaz.com. You have to dig into the site a bit to get them, but the Marcoliani are nice and they have a great range. Around $25 I think.

I was checking them out earlier this morning -surely you don't pay the $70 shipping to Aus?

Edit: And FFS, how hard is it to create a decent website with product shots that don't suck ffffuuuu.gif

Around $195 AUD at a guess. But I need to run through the bum flufferies to check it. Not over $200 is the aim anyway.

Since moving to Australia I've been a fan of Holeproof's Computer socks. Not a glamorous sock, and only 65% merino but they are cheap and they stay up.

Yeah socks not staying up is a pain. The HY house socks by Marcoliani do not have that elasticised banding at the top of the sock like proper Marcoliani so they are always falling down. In years past i have been able to get them quite cheap at DJ sales.

First outing of the new Canali suit today:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Suit: Canali cashmere lana (90% wool/10% cashmere)

Shirt: Appana Sydney

Tie: Joe Black silk knit

Pocket square: JM Lewin

Belt: Canali

Shoes: Farage

The actual suit colour is a little darker than in the photos.

To say I am pleased with this suit would be something of an understatement. Unlike the suit itself.
