while doing some googling understanding differences between the 360degree welt as opposed to the traditional GY welt, i stumbled across this site pretty cool i thought: http://shoesandcraft.com/2012/12/01/miniature-shoes/#more-4370

also a great video showing a cobbler replace a old welt with a new one, really makes me love and appreciate all my GY shoes even more understanding what type of steps and process that are completed to finish a pair of shoes.

and here is a good video on loake shoes manufacturing process (i would assume the 1880 line are made)

^^ correct. New location is amazing.

What's everyone got on this weekend? It's going to a cold and rainy start to winter in Melbourne.

Chores I don't want to do, an assignment, peanut butter M&M, holiday planning, cooking and some photography (hopefully).

Thats the original location isn't it?

Rugging up, not finishing drain in backyard due to it being full of water, going out to Thornbury now for a meeting (watch out all you Thornbury Hipsters - I'm looking at you _PG_), a few opshops on way back, (last time Ascot Chang shirt - not my size and too worn - and a pair of almost new Sperry Topsiders Gold Cup - a full size too small $20) coffee, in Thornbury - if the waiter/ baristacrat has a full Ned Beard and no socks and /or neck ink, male or female, I'll take a pic - back home, drink wine, try and convince Ms to take up some chinos, re-order wardrobe - decide what to toss out, cook Pea and Ham soup, go out to see Gatsby,.....

Yes, I think so. I live pretty close by and walked passed the other day and noticed it had been sold.

I thought to myself - "Oh, someone has bought the old P Johnson location". Ha! If only I had known.

Will swing by soon for a look and maybe buy some of Tom's wine. Dangerous thing having sartorial temptation around the corner though.
