I agree with you, jmills but on one proviso - how the 348 looks depends largely on the size of one's feet. Size 8 and below, it looks lovely, IMO. 8.5 and above, it starts to look too elongated for my liking. It's one of those lasts that dictates a more proportionate trouser leg opening as well, because anything too narrow exacerbates its elongated shape. In any case, it doesn't fit me well at all so it's not a problem I have to think about. It's not even a "problem".

Going to PJ later today.

Thank you. Think I will go home and change into a pair of chukka boots before the game. Not sure monks are football appropriate footwear.

Thank you. That was may thought too. Been wanting a pair of monks for a while, just waiting for the right one to be available.

Great. Looking forward to hearing what you order. Hope you enjoy your experience. Just try to take it easy on the wallet.

Or you could use one of a couple of tricks Porter at P Johnson was saying some chaps use.

1. Since you only pay 50% deposit, you show this receipt to your better half and say that you have paid for your order (in full).

2. When you pick your order up you do not collect the hanger, suit/shirt bag and instead stuff your purchase in your bag and pretend you are just bringing some old clothes home from work or something (Porter said this happens quite often).

What a nice way to spend a Saturday.

Hahahahaha - guys do that?

I'm far more direct.

I bought a suit.

You bought a suit?

Yes, honey, I bought a suit.

You bought a suit?

Then some Jeep is shown driving through the wilderness.

I'm with you Mr Brown. I simply tell my wife I'm buying something. We've never had an argument over money or finances. It's all about marrying the right woman......haha.

Guitars and vocals recorded in space, lol. There's an Economist article about copyright in space referring to this vid.

Think you could pull it off like this, Mr Nelson?

Op shop report. Mild increase in luck. Two unopened bottles off perfume (for flipping/gifts). Two BB shirts and a near new Canali tie. Also found a new Lanvin purse for the missus. Along with the Brioni DB suit I snagged on eBay, not a bad week. Very surprised to see a Hickey Freeman suit - I believe they are pretty rare here.

Nice scores, slim pickings up here : ) they wanted $70 for a Paul Smith orphaned jacket, the lining was all ripped around the pit area....

Db Brioni are you able to post a pic?

Did you see the thrift store bragging thread?

Some dude found, like, nearly 100 Yohji Yamamoto pieces.

I used to post there and brag, but those guys are way out of my league now. Mind you a lot of them post some pretty ordinary gear; it's lost it's way a bit as a place to post super finds. I got big kudos there a while ago when I posted a huge haul of Brioni, Borrelli, Zegna, Lanvin etc. those days are gone, sadly.
