Nice little find at an op shop today. Both looked dirty and grimy when I bought them, but a bit of a rub wirh a polishing cloth revealed quite something ...

No maker's name or hallmarks, so I have no clue where they came from. The degree of tarnish suggests they're decades old, and I'm guessing from India. Looks like a multi-armed goddess who is holding what may be flowers in her upraised arms.

The backplate, chain and post didn't respond as well to the polishing cloth, so I'm also guessing this is silver mounted on some kind of base metal.

Anyone with more of a clue as to what this is, feel free to let me know.

EDIT. A quick Google tells me this is the goddess Lakshmi, seated on a lotus blossom and holding a lotus flower in each of her upraised hands.

Double Monk shipping on Saphir isn't dear enough to warrant it I would have thought?

Unlined is warm enough for Australian (not sure what state you're in) winters?

If so, I want a fitting for a full canvassed suit.

yeh - ive got a pair of grey flannel pants in a light weight cloth - you after grey or other colour?

In other news my Mcqueen playboys arrived today and i tried them on briefly - feel quite wide and loose with my regular socks - i will try with sport socks later on but otherwise ill have to cut them loose which is a shame:(

Depends on the maker. F or E can be standard.

Unlined is sufficient, but I still prefer lined gloves even in our climate.
