Colour lining sounds a bit scary. Would the colour not rub off on your socks?

Speaking of socks, Myer has a brand called 'Lafitte', which I've found to be very good quality. Most of them are about $12/pair, most of them are made in Australia, and, get this, some of them come with a 1 year warranty against holes in the toe!

Dunno, I pretty much only wear navy and charcoal socks anyways. (Pantherella's of course)
ditto - variations on grey and navy socks (various dots/plain/weave)

Jason has some great pantharella socks if im not mistaken?

EDIT: well i obviously didnt see jason's comment re pantherella! :)

Both navy fun socks guys I see.

To be honest I'm likely to order even more staples next time.

AE are overpriced for people with equal acces to European / American shoes (eg importing both to outside the EU). Nothing offensive or bad about them tho -- then again I own multiple pairs of (plain) captoes ... in black.

Most of my socks are shades of grey and black. Also have a pair of mid blue and a pair of wine fun socks from Jason.

I have a problem. A pair of mahogany wholecuts from Bartalesi which, some of you might remember, I bought late last year. Haven't worn them in months because they have been causing blisters on my pinky toe due to a deceptively low/narrow toebox. Last ditch effort today, I'm going to try putting a couple of inserts in to push my feet back so my toes get a bit more room. Otherwise, I think I will either need to flip them or do a pass-me-down to an ungrateful cousin.

Haha Gee so sorry guy's, I'm an 20yr old intern at UBS IBD so cant go dressing around in the most 'look at me' possible products ever (nor would I want to).. Yes to be honest I'm just thoroughly
pleased with the quality, shape, and style and my first observations are that they live up to their tag of a classic business shoe, nor have I seen anything around Sydney that I would even consider for the same price tag ~$350, admittedly I haven't been shoe shopping in all the boutiques around town, but they are a monolithic step up from my previous rockports.. Pretty sure they look a lot better then 99.4% of the other shoes I see walking around, but haters gonna hate :)
I will however change the lace configuration, it's just how they came shipped.

^^ Not at the moment. They are $350.
And at that price, I'd go with a pair of these from shopthefinest:

*if they have your size.
As unappealing as I find those Park Aves, you can do a lot worse. Like a pair of Steve Maddens or Jimmy Choos or something.

At nordstrom. they are at 219+ shipping. I pay around $270 for AEs from endless. They have 20% off time to time. One just finished last week.I quite like AE to be honest. But I do agree AEs are not "sleek" business shoes. Then again I prefer a bit of laid back look.
Steve Maddens and Jimmy Choos are 2 complete different class of shoes. Last time I checked DJs they had few nice Jimmy Choos shoes. The finish on them was perfect. But can't justify paying $800+ for them. But if they were under $300 I would actually pick up a pair.Steve Maddens on the other hand.....

Also just finally found out where Luisas is - and completely taken by surprise by how much shop space they take over! Found a pair of nice plain toe oxfords by Cesare Paciotti at Luisas. Not $700 nice though!

Wow,that's a bit steep for them. Did you see those in the store front on Russell St, or the outlet shop inside the KPMG building?

Easy claim to make, but what's your justification for this? They're $270 shipped from endless.com when I buy them.

I'd rather have Herring* / Loake 1880 / Barker* / Meermin for less^ having handled (and owned Loake/Herring and Alden too for that matter) all of them bar meermin?

*Some dodgy models.
^Actually I'd probably just pay more and go to C&J/ Carmina /DC Lewis/Vass ect. but given that is my budget...

Obviously there are some stylistic exceptions.

Eta: Mbuck, I nitpick -- I really wouldn't worry. Fit diffrences are more important and will actually make a bigger visual diffrence that the change of quality I talk about. (OT) Also I assume you mean some kind of coop deal?
