Where does everyone order their woodlore shoe trees? I was going to order some from woodlore directly, but they want to charge me $110 for shipping...

Edit: also, what do you mean there is a wait with Meermin?

OK those mcqueen photos spurred me to go harder to find McQueen's brown suede boots...

I came across this article which was helpful but doesnt bring me closer to obtaining a pair

http://stevemcqueenstyle.blogspot.com.au/2010/03/dont-step-on-his-brown-suede-boots.html

Anyone know where to get some? Otherwise i may look at Tods/Church version which are not as ideal as the mcqueen with the somewhat chunkier style rubber sole.

EDIT: found a pair - dark brown or snuff... this store only has snuff in my size so ill get them i suppose

Happy to deal if you're interested in anything.

joiji - any of those shoes been worn sans socks???????

Sorry, no :<.

I thought it was worthwhile to add because a couple of the styles are easily worn sans socks. Buying used shoes that had been worn sans socks always irked me.

correct these are sanders playboys

found em for 145gbp + 10gbp delivery.

comes in dark brown, snuff, sand, navy and green

EDIT: not correct these are Sanders "hi-top" which to me look more "correct" .. the sid mashburn ones are even higher

Theres no definitive answer as to what brand suede boots SMcQ wore.

But there is some consensus that the current Sanders Playboy Chukkas are the closest you can get these days. Or the Oi Polloi model is perhaps considered more "authentic".

GBX sells a cheaper everyman's version

Pinky - that chunky look isn't all sole.

The rubber sides just come up higher than most to get that look.

They are Smashed with orders ATM. I don't think they can keep up with demand. I'd like to get another pair but not keen on waiting 4 months. May do another MTO one day. Would like an austerity brogue in either brown calf or suede.

Welcome surprise in the mailbox today. Secret lambswool sleeveless cardigan online find and super-affordable as well. Will share secret if people are interested. Woolmarked lambswool, feels quite scratchy but will most definitely beat the cheap ass cardi's I've ever bought from CR, calibre, etc. *shudder* can't believe I bought those...

Excuse the light and the end-of-the-day shoddiness. Threw on my favourite jacket.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
