See, I'm kind of snookered on this one. The only shirts I have are the super slim block from MJ Bale, but I was looking to go a shirt on their slim block for something a bit more relaxed.

I emailed them with MJ Bale's 42 slim fit measurements, which, though they're lacking in details, they've suggested I go with a 17/36 fit for a similar match.

Definitely will take your point on the soft interlining though, strange they don't do that as standard.

Hey so I noticed you're still having a bit of trouble deciding on your Brown shoe, and was in Henry Bucks today so took a few pics.

I will take back what I said about the Loake Aldwych Brown being 'horrible', it is actually ok for the price (the pair was a bit creased up), and you might actually be quite happy with the shade of Brown. The Aldwych in store was the same shade as the Churchill, and both were a decent mid-conservative brown, with the cap burnished slightly darker.

The other pair are a choc brown.

I also thought if you need a 2nd pair of affordable shoes, and considered putting off the brown for another black pair, have a look at the Cheaney Fenchurch quarter brogues (http://www.cheaney.co.uk/index.php)

They are surprisingly cheap, free shipping, and the 11028 last is really nice. Just a thought ;)

I have a pair of the brown Aldwych's and I've been more than happy with them. My pair is coming up four years old and has been an absolute workhorse. Can take a pic later if you are keen to see how they age.

HB would NOT have been happy about you trying, snapping pictures with your phone then walking out! Very suspicious behaviour... Lucky you weren't at AT!

So, being fairly new to the scene, and sporting a new pair of brown calf leather loafers, Ive recently decided I probably shouldn't go 'sockless' when wearing long pants and loafers peepwall[1].gif

I looked down and saw: mid grey chinos, blinding/ neon/ milky white ankles, and then mid-dark brown loafers. Didn't think it was a great look. Anyone used spray tan? mwink[1].gif

You found options other than socks with shoes and a length other than long with trousers length?

Amazing.
