'I've never seen such beautiful shirts before!'
Watching The Great Gatsby and the scene where Daisy is hugging Jay's shirts after he throws them out of his wardrobe.....

Gents, what are your thoughts on MJ Bale's Monaco HB (and what does that stand for?) navy jacket? I bought one today along with matching trousers with the intention of wearing them for the most part as separate items. The pic on-line looks a little different to what I saw today as mine has brown/tortoiseshell buttons. I'm thinking chinos or jeans etc would look great, but could do with a second opinion as I'm a little green. Cheers!

Most 'odd pants' would go great with a navy jacket; just off the top of my head grey, light browns, whites/beiges etc. Navy Jackets are truthfully very easy to pair. HB= Herringbone pattern though pics suggest it is a very faint pattern at that.

Thanks TehBunny. The penny dropped re HB not long after I posted. I'm locked in now anyway so I guess we'll see how it turns out. The weave is apparent in the flesh but the cotton/hemp fabric gives it a pretty relaxed feel. It was a trade off between the formal wools and the too casual cottons I saw. I hope this strikes a nice balance.

Meister, we may lose the odd topy battle with lesser beings on some forums threads but the wider war will surely be ours in glorious victory.

Went to isetan shoe basement the other day, every shoe brand known to man, millions, even vass. All I could think of was poor old shoeys head xploding if he was there.

These crazy Japanese though, you know they have a different word for Everything!

Like Romp,

I've been eyeing sneakers for a bit. And, in pink, too.

Why do you call him Robert? Or Rob? Do you know him in person? Or only from whatever you've found E-stalking him? What's wrong with calling him Romp?

Still laughing at GN's since deleted comment that "An O&J popover is like a hug from Rob that Michael can wear all day." Possible marketing slogan?

Can anyone recommend a decent drycleaner in the Melbourne CBD? Thanks!

Am waiting to pick up cleaning from Rene's behind 101 Collins. Cleaning is done at the port Melb location. Family run. Have heard they are good. We shall see... Around 20 bucks for 3 pieces, next day pickup.

Got these two Borrelli shirts from Shopthefinest recently but I need a size larger. Thought I would see if anyone in Australia was interested before I ship these back to the US for an exchange (needs to be shipped back by Tuesday so get at me quick if you are interested). Cost me about US$180 shipped each, willing to let them go for A$150 + shipping, won't go lower because this is the amount I'll get if I returned them.

Size 15.5, single barrel cuff, wide spread collar, thick MOP buttons (~3-4mm)

Dark royal blue stripe

Sky blue stripe

I'm not going to bother posting them in the B&S since they'll be gone soon either way.
