Herringbone have launched their A/W line. I see they have an online store now as well.

Yes, I was having a look at the online catalogue yesterday.

There are some interesting items in there, including a rather "Cucinelli-esque" jacket and pair of trousers, and what appears to be a dark velvet jacket (black or midnight blue) with peak lapels and a single button closure. Intriguing, and possibly quite promising.

Aleksander suits on sale too hmmm

Hmmmm, indeed. I could do with a new suit. Giving Patrick Johnson some consideration after seeing the result for a certain asian man with a most exerent brog.

I see the C&J's aren't online, but I guess that would be pointless with pediwear etc

Herringshoes is another option. Flat shipping rate works out well.

Sure... It's SF member Phat Guidos (GW's) blog. He used to be one of my favorite WAYWRN posters, then pretty much left to do his blog thing causing the WAYWRN thread quality to plummet (Vox, TC, Edmorel, Doc H and others all eventually followed). Still crops up here now and then.

Great blog from a guy who's style is often emulated but rarely matched. link

Also notice that they're bringing in a traditional-looking beige mac (raincoat)... which doesn't do me any good as I've just ordered the Grenfell model from The Armoury!

Love the light brown jacket with suede elbow-patches though! (Is that the Cucinelli-esque one?)

That'd be my pick!

Just listening to the news about Angus & Robertson and Borders going down the drain bad for the loss of the jobs. But sadly I have not bought a book inshore for at least three years now.

And worse Abels Music has now gone so there is no where to walkin and just buy a Classical or Jazz CD in Canberra. FTFAJ.

Thats sad. I used to browse Angus & Robertson by bourke street frequently.

I'm off to Borders to redeem my $150 of vouchers before they close the doors.

I might buy an e-reader - Kobe

Hopefully the book shops will be able to trade themselves out of their woes. My wife bought me a Kindle for Christmas. Fantastic device.

For those who are interested Henry Buck's "Private" Sale starts today at 320 Collins Street, Melbourne (Public sale advertised as starting Sunday, but really anyone can walk in as of today). Know the stuff there is often highly overpriced but occasionally good bargains can be picked up in the sales.

Thought you might like to know.

I will be taking a look this afternoon, so be sure not to take all the pink socks.

The SMH is saying that they will require you to spend twice the value of the voucher before they will honour it. Apparently this is permitted under the terms and conditions of the voucher.

I'm no expert in consumer law, but it is hard to see how that is not third line forcing...
