I saw that yesterday and groaned.
Yet another shallow article that is essentially an advertisement-cum-editorial for a travelling tailor, originally based in HK but now (apparently) based in London. The article - as usual - focusses mostly upon the "flashy" aspects such as the "world's most expensive suit" and outfitting the Sydney Roosters, rather than upon the actual quality of the garments.
Nonetheless, I suppose that it's better than quite a lot of the style/fashion reporting in Australia.

Yep - there are plenty of words, but not a lot of information. So, they started in HK, moved to London. Suits seems to made in HK or London (so I guess there will be different price points for that). They have one fitting after the suit is delivered. I'm not being critical of that business model per se - it's not really that different from what is being done with PJ's MTM approach. But, at least with a local MTM operation, there has got to be more accountability than with the FIFO model.
So all those words, but no mention of where the fabric is sourced, how the suits are contructed or even whether it is MT or bespoke (edit: actually the say soem where that it is bespoke, but it is not clear where on the spectrum of customisation they sit).
And...15,000 Australians on his books? Mmmmm

Re: Harrolds sale and for those looking for fragrances, they had a pretty large selection of Penhaligon's and Creed for 50% off. Not my (butter)cup of tea but there you go.
For the sockless look, the Falke ones at Mr Porter are pretty good even if with the elasticated rim they can look like teensy ballet slippers. But they do the job. At 8 pounds they're OK to add to an order if you are grabbing something else.

I'd sooner believe that 15,000 Australians have bought their suits at Roger David than what this Aspley guy says.
