I've been slowly upgrading my wardrobe over the past few years. I'm looking to get a pair o dark brown shoes to add to my rotation. I've lusting after a pair of the carmina brown captors from the armoury. The only thing holding me back is that I do a lot of walking around for work in the shoes. I'm note sure I want to spend that amount if the walking will ruin them. ( I'm a teacher so will walk anywhere between 5 and 7km a day)

Anyone with carmina know how they will hold up? Or should I get a second pair of less expensive shoes to prevent th carmina's getting wrecked.

It doesn't matter if you are buying hush puppies or carmina or cleverly. Any shoe worn everyday will wear out a lot faster than a set in rotation and tree'd

Ideally only wear a pair of shoes once per week and tree them but at a minimum I wouldn't wear any of my shoes two days in a row. Need to let them breath and dry out

Happy Chinese New Year to the asian brahs. I finally got a bit of cash to spend, just got to think of what to buy.

Actually, it's 800%. The mark-up is $160. Go to the back of the class.

I was planning on wearing them once a week- will get a "beater" pair as well. Would live to be able to afford a full rotation of good shoes.

Thanks for the tips.

Wow; wtf is wrong with me and math these days....why did I count the other 20! But it is 900% of the original price right?
I'd like that reassurance a least :P

Wishiwasricher

There is no hurry, just build your collection slowly, taking advantage of sales and currency fluctuations. A well maintained pair of shoes should last 5 to 10 years. Getting one good pair a year gives you a full workweek rotation in 5 years, and you would have saved money by not throwing out cheap shoes every year. Healthier too.

I visited my cousins in Australia last year and they taught me new words like "bogan".

I found this interesting store in Sydney.

I was wondering if this word means something in Australian parlance other than the product of a happy ending.
