Haha, don't know about that. You're the first one to call me patient.

I'm heading in to MJ Bale today to get a 50% linen, 50% merino navy herringbone suit.

Which one is that TBM? I got the Vaughan navy herringbone but that's 100% merino I think.

Same suit - Tom explained that it's tagged incorrectly, actually a linen/wool mix.

Please PM me by 8pm tonight if you wish to purchase some shoe trees: http://www.bexley.com/Bexley/shoe-MMCACCPRD-EN.htm?cdPrd=Embauchoirs&tarification=PROMO&coloris=red_cedar

Based on the number of people thus far, the price is <$18 a pair!

Don't worry, they only have 7 and 8; not 7.5.

P.S. I'm also 7.5 and neither 7 nor 8 fit.

Ah right, that probably explains why I thought the fabric seemed a little easily creased for wool!

I'm planing on purchasing a couple of items from Bexley (http://www.bexley.com/Bexley/shoe-MMCACCPRD-EN.htm?cdPrd=Embauchoirs&coloris=red_cedar&pointure=44&tarification=PROMO&pageReferrer=MYBASKET) and would do a bulk order if you are in Melbourne (pick up from the CBD) and need anything. PM me if interested - I hope to make the order within the next 24-48 hours.

whats with all the half sizes for trees? size up or size down?

The creases are the best part about linen. Tom was very helpful as always - most of the Melbourne folk have popped in to see MJ Bale here by now, right?

ive got simpson and robert lasts

Simpson too tight across the bottom of the tongue, Robert too loose across the lace and heel

I still wear both but neither are a perfect fit on my foot. Interested to try Inca and Rain lasts for a comparison

I thought one usually sizes up, but happy to stand corrected

Do those Bexley shoe trees shorten/extend much? I'm guessing that middle bit can close and open?

Thinking going true to size for my upcoming Loake Aldwych's, will it matter if they are .5 a size too big or too small?

They're spring loaded, so a half-size large would be better. I don't think being a little too small would be a big deal; the difference is in the area of 4mm.
