Those alteration places really do vary in the quality of work. Most are, in my experience, sub-par, but some do good work. For jobs like hemming chinos or turning chinos into shorts (my preferred method of getting summer shorts), they're fine because they're cheaper than a tailor, quicker than a tailor and are competent enough to hem something for you.

TehBunny, if you're wanting to get a shirt slimmed, that's the kind of job I'd take to someone with more experience smile.gif

Will be in CANBERRA over the Australia Day weekend. If anyone's about, would love to catch up!

Thanks TBM as well; haha md that's a promise that's impossible to keep :P
Edit: how's the shirt going? Chosen a fabric?

I haven't been in to see PJohnson yet so haven't had to make a decision yet.

I'm heading to Double Monk tomorrow. Will probably walk out more broke than when I go in to the store.

Did anyone watch Tomic v Federer? Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing.  Liking the cognac captoes there and maybe a pair of the splits.  Hope they put online ordering back on at some point.

Just had a quick word with Edwin - the website is going through a revamp with the S/S 13 collection; but if you drop him a message on facebook or email him, he'll sort out an online order. Sizes fit TTS.

Yep, I own 2 pairs of Ed et Als. The new shoes even come with a fiddleback sole. There's a pretty lengthy writeup on LL, though I know not everyone's a fan of London Lounge (myself included). Good hand on the leathers, very well made for the price point, goodyear welted, of course.

He even runs a MTO and bespoke (with your own personal last) program.

Tomic's footwork is still terrible after a few games. He'll always be mediocre untill he fixes it.

Morning Gents

I hope the caffeine has kicked in!

According to Beanhunter Gold Coast has been crowned "Coffee Capital of Australia". I can't post link on iPhone, but it's true! IMO there's a couple of crackers, the rest are scummy dross.

Favour please-buying my mrs handbag for present, budget 500. Medium-large size. She likes Lancell, Michael Kors .What's the best
OL option?

Any advice would be golden : )

PS M Sy - you are not a pimp.

Zero Dark Thirty. A movie that left me with mixed feelings. Amazing film on a controversial subject...

Hoping to drop by Melb Herringbone and MJ Bale on Monday. Who's visited recently Any stock left on the CJ sydney loafers?

Shout the Beanhunter judges for a night out at one of the many GC strip clubs, and they're putty in your hands. 10s all around, and they haven't even tasted the coffee yet.

No problems Mr. DB, no animosity on this side of the fence.

Seriously contemplating getting some unlined peccary Dents.

Thanks IS forth enlightenment.

That film would have completely slipped off the radar without even knowing it.

I IMDB'd it, now I'm going to watch!

Cheers
