Also thought about an Aussie members tie and can do it. I'd need a minimum of 10 ties for a classic construction or 7 fold and 16 for a knit tie, whether it be cashmere, silk or cotton. I could get something embroidered like SF Australian Member on the back blade or tipping to make it unique but not in your face. Anyway I will think about that and perhaps if there is enough interest choose some fabrics to put up for a vote. Maybe PM me though for anyone who is keen so I can keep track.

Will PM as think it could be a good idea. Maybe red, white and blue (Australian flag) or black, red and yellow (Aboriginal flag) or green and gold (the sporty model)? Hahaha!

Out of all the shoes they showed, those suede brogue boots from Country Road are surprisingly appealing. Some good points in that article, though I wonder what the writer meant by canvas loafers. Espadrilles, maybe?

Really, all anyone should need is maybe two or three pairs of dress shoes. I admit I passed from 'need' territory to 'want' territory some time ago.

Just get some good shoes and learn how to take care of them!!!

i'd preferentially go with something on the under side of the tie. more enigmatic. you'd know who's on SF when wearing this tie when they're looking back at you and giving you the nod.

Yep yep -- what about a little wattle emblem? The bright yella would look good on say a navy background. Ok forum graphic designers, get to work on that pls.

I like this idea - it's more subtle or even something like a navy tie with red an white repp stripes. I would imagine something like this but with red in place of the yellow and a thin white stripe replacing the thin navy stripe between the yellow.

Regarding a forum tie, what about an emblem on the front of the blade of the tie. That way it would be visible sometimes but not always?
