What do you expect? Its summer, its Australia. What else is new?

Also I know at 31c its not the time of year for it but BB have 40 to 50% off their range of Scottish Cashmere amongst other bargains.

My turn next week. I'm normally sardined into the SCG members area - so not so bogan-ville, as a collared shirt is apparently required to create the unique atmosphere of country-pub-piss-up-with-circket-attached which is the SCG members stand on day one.

But this year, they've ripped half of it down in the name of 'progress' - so it's off the to the Brewongal for me.

To the smaller sized gents

i am relocating permanently from sunny vegas to convict sydney and i'm clearing a heap of clothes - primarily casual.
I am a size 30-32 and was a S-M so if this suits you feel free to PM me and i'll email you photos. I'm speaking with another member at the moment and have been incredibly slack (sorry) so he gets priority.

Brands include: for shirts/tees: Ralph Lauren, Tommy H, Lacoste, Mjolk
Denim/Chino: Nudie, Dr Denim, Marcs, Ksubi, Ralph, G-star
Leather Bomber: ATG

also, if any of you have festival / stereo-son's or live on the Gold Coast i have some very (un?)ashamedly bright coloured t-shirts from when I was 18 and "metro". facepalm.gif

To anyone at the cricket

Just came back from American Tailors. I would go in there asap as stock is reducing fast.

For C&Js, they are reduce to $350 and $395 for benchgrade and handgrade, respectively (they just received a new shipment from C&J which are not on-sale and I have never seen them before). For what is on sale (forgive me if I don't remember the all the styles and sizes correctly)

- Selbourne (Chestnut & Black): a couple of sizes left for each colour (7, 9 & 10);

- Audley (Brown & Black): about seven different sizes for each colour;

- Lowndes (Brown & Black): lots of sizes; and

- couple of others but they didn't catch my eye.

They have a lot of Carmina, about six different styles in lots of sizes at $350. However, with C&J at the same price, C&J triumph!

Im betting o&j popovers and shorts and loafers the look this summer wink.gif .. We sold out before we even had a chance to list them on our website lol. Will have to order heaps more next week. Ive been rocking mine with sleeves rolled up and some Marcs coloured shorts during the week.

I disagree. For me, Carmina are better than C&J. The calf is smoother, the finishing cleaner, and the shoes more elegant overall.

Does AT stock standard widths only ie nothing narrow? Sorry don't have my phone with me to call.

You mean bench-grade or hand-grade?

I think the C&J hand-grade shoes are same or better than Carmina in terms of make. I'd agree with you completely if you meant bench-grade.

I meant bench-grade, Quar. We're on the same page re: hand-grade (i.e. that C&J are same or better).

Speaking of which I just popped back to AT and picked up another pair of handgrade C&Js. Still a reasonable number of pairs left. A good range of drakes ties too but unfortunately most are in the 7cm width. If you prefer a 7cm then the glencheck wedding tie is a great buy at $79.

Only standard E sizing. The Carmina's are pretty narrow for a standard width though.

I am an 8cm man these days. I blame HC. To the point where I am now going to send my Kent Wang 7cm tie, which I love, to Tiecrafters in the US when im over there soon to have it widened to 8cm. It's the little things satisfied.gif

Darn my small feet I don't fit into size 7's at Am Tailors; guess I just have to wait for Christian Kimbers stock to come in (fingers crossed he goes to 6.5UK)
