...speaking of which, I got a nice surprise on Christmas Day. Mrs S bought me a wee, little il B wallet as a 'going out' wallet. Just room for a couple of cards and a few notes - perfect for an evening out when I don't to lug the mega-chunk which is my other wallet.

Excellent, it must be beautiful.

It's really nice. It's in their natural hide - so it will be interesting to see it take on a patina as it ages.

It seems people are still wearing clip on bow ties these days ...

Thanks for the advice on the denim; allthough my body and denim seem to lend to the casual biker guy look and when I go refined I end up looking like a horribly dressed dad (will try to change that as much as I can :P)

P.S.

What leather/colour was your il bisonte selvaggio?

I can highly recommend self tie Budd bows from Piccadilly square. Ordered through email with my collar size along with some nice thurston braces. Have worn black tie quite a few times this year. Great to have a tux of your own in the closet to call upon on the right occasion. Quite different to wearing darker suits and ramps up the formality (and people notice, in a good way)

Hi Australia!

I've been studying in Melbourne for the last year, but I haven't been in Australia for summer yet. At home at the moment, but going back to aus soon. My question is; how do you dress properly for australian summer? I'm from a rather cold place (scandinavia), so I literally have no idea how to dress nice in the hot climate. Any general advice?

My christmas present to myself:

I think it will work nicely with the pants from the new PJ suit I posted a while back.

I had gone in with the intention of buying this but it's quite a lot different in person http://www.mjbale.com/on-sale/ludo-herringbone-blue-jacket

Really nice work Lachyzee! I hope they bring you great pleasure. Would love to hear how the blended material wears with time.

American Tailors in Bourke St. is going nuts with their sale.

I went in there to pick up a pair of trousers, however most of the stuff was more "casual hipster wanker" no-break, big cuff styles.

The C & J shoes have been dropped to $350 which mioght actually bring them in line with overseas prices.

Actually, given that it costs $430 or more to get a pair of benchgrade C&Js shipped to Australia from somewhere like Pediwear in the UK, the sale price at American Tailors is ridiculously good.

navy Bonds Chesty, King Gee/Stubbies shorts, thongs, packet of Blue Winfields tucked behind an ear, mullet and a VB/Fosters Lager in your hand. I guarantee the girls will be chasing you.

This light blue one is nice. Light blue jacket is a must have for summer.
