I got the 9" Stanton and the 9" Broken In. Both are wonderful. I am looking forward to wearing them this summer. Thanks Aussie SFers!

I can't imagine that being awfully difficult. It's nothing to do with the brand (Cotton On), I just can't imagine 98% cotton, 2% elastane shorts, in anything other than Calvin Klein stretch underwear being fit for human use.

Just a note of caution with Suit Supply - colours on the website are (in my experience) different from the real garment. I didn't buy any sportcoats or suits, just outerwear (rain jackets, etc.) but the colour listed and shown as "beige" is actually a brown colour. I'm disappointed, and it's all going back.

Anyone with experience of Aspesi jacket sizing?

What inspires people to walk out of the door in the morning, in business attire, in to the heavy rain sans parapluie?

Any sweat/humidity magnifies the wrinkles you get in pure linen as well.
Out of interest, does anyone here wear 100% linens with a suit and tie to work on a regular basis?

I doubt they do. However I've gotten to the point where if I'm not out at a client site (Management Consultant), I say fuck it and wear whatever won't make me sweat like hell on the walk to work.

Coincidentally, I'm wearing a linen shirt today.

However, I'm looking rather casual, as I've paired it with a beige cotton suit and a blue knit tie.

Likely not all that different to the MUJI, although I'm not too familiar with MUJI's field jacket offering at present so cannot comment definitively. I do know that the fit will be considerably trimmer than a proper military manufacturer (e.g. ALPHA). The price is ludicrous, but I bought a SuitSupply piece of outwear similar to a field jacket, and it's going back. It's one of those things where my heart is set on the Aspesi, so I may as well buy that one instead of something else that I'll keep for a while, only to regret having bought in place of the one I really wanted.

I would also like comments on this if possible, I just bought two suits and want to establish a working relationship with a decent tailor - rather than going to different ones everytime

the thought of putting on some layers if temperatures are forgiving, and a good (vintage) trench coat

OK. But what inspires a person to walk out in heavy rain in just shirtsleeves on the way to work, or just a suit?

I spose I know the answer. People don't give a sh#t, do they.
