i'm not surprised - they had incredible marketing & promotional pop-ups all through europe from Sept - November when I was there..

Also Brisbane folk

A close friend has been offered a solo art exhibition, with the opening night Thursday 22nd November from 6.30 – 9.30 on 13A/23 James St, Fortitude Valley.

It will be a fun night of laughs, drinks and media as the crew from Brisbane News magazine is set to make a feature of it - so your sartorial ways may make the headlines.

PM if you would like the invite as I don't know how to embed it. You can also pass onto those who love art, drinks or getting their photo taken.

Mine have landed and they fit...thank God. I kept the same size but went to a G width and it worked out well. PoP's advice was invaluable.

I still have to deal with the annoying issue of having one foot wider than the other. Most of the time it's fine, but it does make buying things on an unseen last a little tricky.

Have to admit I did enjoy watching their sales assistants of the other gender dance in store. Wrong, I know. But...

I wouldn't hold your breath for Rugby. It was announced a couple of weeks ago that it's being shut down in 2013.

edit: What's happening in 2014?

Was pretty widely reported.

Ralph Lauren is closing the diffusion line Rugby Ralph Lauren in order to shift its focus to the core brand.

The news comes after the company reported higher-than-expected quarterly earnings as revenue remained bouyant, despite anxiety over luxury sales.

Revenue fell 2.2 percent to $1.86 billion (£1.2 billion), but the decline was less steep that the company’s forecast suggesting that demand for the luxury market has remained steady despite a stalled global economy.

Glad to hear this!

Yes I have the same problem with one foot not the same size as the other... even when you're in the shop it can complicate getting the "right" size. Perhaps I will see a podiatrist so he can write me a note outlining how I need to have bespoke shoes from now on - when the handbrake protests I can wave the doctor's note around!

Elvish - Aaaagh!

It sounds excellent, but unfortunately I have a prior engagement that evening that I can't break as my wife would probably divorce me.

I'm still keen to meet up with other Brisbane folk for coffee etc on Friday 23 November, though.

Can anyone recommend a nice iPad case that I can buy in the Melbourne CBD? I'd like to get one for my wife's birthday on Tuesday. I'll get the new iPad for the case when it gets launched but she'll have a 'placeholder' until then smile.gif

Hmm, don't know how I missed this. I imagine it's because the line simply canniballises sales from PRL and others.

Still waiting on mine - took a couple of days for the order to be processed, then only 2 days to get from UK to Sydney, but DHL have let themselves down at the last hurdle. Tracking shows the box with the courier at 9.44am yesterday, no delivery attempt seem to have been made, and tracking shows it wasn't returned to the depot overnight. Hopefully they arrive today bounce2.gif
