Two ways it ages

1) via general handling - everyone has different level of sweat etc on their hands so the rate of darkening varies

2) UV - if you want to give it some early age, stick it in on the window sill and rotate it ... might take a month but it will get a few shades darker.

3) do not get raindrops/water etc on it - i dropped an oyster on that wallet in my first week - luckily i persevered and it blended it after a couple months:)

my wife and mother have a number of il bisonte items. My wife just uses hers without care and it develops the patina very fast. My mum keeps hers in a cloth bag after each use and shows very little age.

Wow thats sexy az!!!

Stuff it I'm getting one, (I've been carrying around stuff in a 'man-purse' I found at a thrift store 

Can't decide between the one you've got, one from tanner goods or a shell one (money clip) from mitchell; will probably make a decision by the end of today or tmmrw mornin.

buy it in the store if you can - each wallet has different grain - i REALLY want a pebble grain version.. the bumps would get crazy nice patina:)

I posted the following photos a few months back, after rather a long day at work (and a large-ish lunch, if I remember correctly) and a few, somewhat critical comments were levelled at me!

LukCha is a bastard....I'm just jelly of his shoes :P

there is a leather repair guy at the top of the strand arcade. I forget his name but its where hunt leather send all their repairs. he's good, real good.
