Shoe talk:
Thinking of picking up some black or dark brown calf tassel loafers. Alternatively, burgundy shell cordovan.
Likely nothing will come of this. 30 minutes spent internet searching, etc. but just thought I'd share..
LOL
What are Christian's loafers going to be like? Would they fit the bill?

TBM, if you like a more chiselled toe, you could have a look at the Sutor Mantellassi tassel loafers from Shop the Finest that I linked to a few days ago - click here.
Alternatively, if you like a more traditional, softer toe, you could look at Loake - click here.

The Salvos add on TV last night made think about the plight of others who are less well off. Next pay day I will kick them a ton can spare it this pay, probably means the new suede oxfords remain on hold.
I imagine you have a few hours a week spare that could go to a worthy cause?

Good to see there are some young lads on the forum that have their priorities straight. Heads screwed on, well done.

Thanks Journeyman! I was looking at the Loake Temple, though, I think if I get them, I'll probably go for the Alden tassel loafer. Is it true that the style of shoe was invented by Alden?
I noticed that the Loake's are made on the 'loafer last' - does anyone here have experience with this particular last?

Retail giant David Jones announced new lower everyday prices yesterday and it denies its margins have been inflated, claiming the reduced prices are the result of "continuing negotiation" with international brands.
The department store's "Lower Everyday Prices" program has secured price reductions of up to 50% across hundreds of products in categories such as fashion, beauty, accessories, shoes, homewares and electronics.
David Jones said the reductions are not temporary savings but ongoing, lower everyday prices.
