Yep I did work there a few years ago on the weekends (this was before the buyout and when a lot was still made in Japan). Someone (maybe you?) also asked the other day about the MJ Bale Mudgee weave. I have it and just got married in it, also wearing it today. I'm very happy with it and it fits me slightly better than the Herringbone Osaka cut (more closed fronts, or quarters as some say) and a fraction more in the length.

Anyway I have received the pair yesterday and done a little bit of restorations. And today I was wearing them to work. This was my first attempt at restoring a pre-owned pair. So results are not what I see from some expert sf members. I am a true us8EEE. This c&j is uk 7.5 E ; which is like a US 8.5 D. But the shoes are really narrow. I have really tight fit.
Anyway ....this is how they arrived

after polishing one ....

end result.....I don't have any fancy polish. Just used this polish....
