Does the roomier heel fit you better or cause issues, Jas?

Does anyone know of any lasts, that in their experience, boast a narrower heel and average to wider forefoot?

Kind of in between T, it doesn't really cause issues but it certainly doesn't make it better (for my foot anyway). The best middle road I've found is the Meermin olfe last, which fits almost like the Robert but is a bit snigger in the heel.

 

Apparently the Oscar last by Carmina does, as does the Olfe by Meermin that Jason mentioned. I'll be able to report back when my boots get here.

Joiji, I missed it - what boots are you getting?

I never said, there's a Oscar based MTO going on over in the Carmina thread at the moment, so I should be able to provide some insight when that comes to fruition.

 

Now that I think about it, Loake's 024/026 lasts are reasonably roomy in the toebox, although I'd say they were still 'average' in the heel area though.

Some nice weather in Adelaide today. I really gotta buy a tripod.

After over 12 months of wait and research finally about 20 minutes ago I pulled the trigger on the bellow briefcase. This briefcase I paid total EUR 765 (including shipping), which equals to approx $971 AUD. So I just avoided tax( 5% Duty +10% GST........=....... 17% total damage) .It was really hard to find a briefcase that ticked all my requirements and priced under $1k.

Thanks. On website it says "hand made". But I think this must be fully machine stitched. But under $1k for SAB I couldn't care if it was even stitched by foot. Since I have posted the link of this website they may get hammered by sf traffics.

Is there any such thing as a  Last comparator  as it seems that buying shoes online is a chancy game if you really dont know the exact dimensions of the last you are getting, and seems the shoe makers them selves give out very little info about their Lasts.

 

Is there a site or area in SF  for shoe lasts that I dont know of.

Here's one comparing the lasts for Aldens. It's so useful - I wish other brands would do likewise.

I vaguely remember finding a while ago a MTO website where they send you a........thingy...........and you make a cast of your foot and send it back to them and they make the shoes to fit accordingly. I thought I had bookmarked it, but I can't find it. Maybe someone else knows about it.
