Carbon fibre, the lightness won't ruin the balance of your shoes and it'll be bloody strong.

LOL

EDIT: This thread tends towards more classically-oriented (Western) menswear, but just thought I'd share regardless in case any sneaker buffs are lurking..

which sneakers did you get, TBM?

I was hoping to get the remakes of the vintage nike air tailwinds 79 or the APC collab. with Nike. both sold like hotcakes before I could get my hands on them  ):  i hate living in the southern hemisphere!

I know man, that's what sucks about sneakers in Australia. We don't get much here and we don't even get full size ranges. The Nikes I got aren't available here in a 10.5 or in that colour way, and the NB one isn't either. We only get 574s, not the Made in England 576s. Plus, you save money buying online.

I just bought a pair of Nike 2011 Hyperdunks (basketball shoe) from Eastbay for $69.95USD + $30 shipping. Footlocker is selling them for $170AUD in Rundle Mall. I'd never buy sneakers locally.

Great sneakers, thebrownman! I've been looking at entering the sneaker game myself. I think they might be a good balance between comfort + style when travelling around Europe for a few months. JCrew and UrbanOutfitters have some great ones for sale with free shipping to Aus.

What kind of outfits do you guys pair your sneakers with? Are New Balance and/or Nike vintage sneakers good in terms of cushioning and support? Vans are pretty hopeless when it comes to comfort.

I have a collection of Limited editions Adidas Superstars . 30+ pairs near new conditions. But ever since I found sf MC style I hardly wear them.

thebrownman, you gonna be a part of that sneaker + suit lifestyle?

I was in The Rocks area in Sydney tonight and we drive by a store that read "Ralph Lauren". Is there a RL store in the rocks?

If anyone has ever been there, how is the variety like in the store?

Thanks

Jason's ties are very, very good. At $40, he's practically giving them away!
