Where's Cafe Noir? Google turns up one in Armadale but it doesn't appear to have it's own website.

Swan St Richmond, near Church.

http://www.noirrestaurant.com.au/

Sample of the courses we had:

Steak tartare with quail egg and deconstructed waldorf salad and truffled mayo
Pork belly on corn and pea shoot salad
Sliced beetroot salad with grated apple and frozen balsamic
Pan fried pumpkin gnocchi
Mushroom pie with truffle shavings and fried polenta
Moroccan spiced roast lamb
Raspberry and macadamia souffle with white chocolate ice cream
French cheeses.

You get the drift. Each course is about $8. Insane value.

In other news happy fathers day to all the dads out there.

According to them its the "cost of doing business internationally". But they said they will give me free shipping and pay all duties if I order (which I won't be).

Anyone needing shirts, this place seems to be the bees knees right now: www.luxire.com. Plenty of buzz about these guys on the forums/interwebs.

$60 for most fabrics, MTM, great quality, and free shipping to Oz for $100+...

Just bought this blazer (the price was too good). Now I have been searching in Google for some ideas on what pants to wear with this jacket. This is Steel Grey Velvet jacket. Can this jacket be worn in the day time to work as smart business casual without attracting too much attentions ? I am thinking of a pair of Dark navy pants and light sold shirts and may even layer it with a navy v neck sweater . Is it too pimp-ish ? I also have a solid navy dress shirt which has a tiny bit sheen .... will it work under this blazer ? Your feedback will be much appreciated.
First pic is the blazer I purchased. Second one I found on the net.

Turns out someone wanted them a whole lot more than me. Oh well. Is the Edwards code still working?

And the Tricker's went for half the price. Crazy.

The Edwards sale ended Friday, so I don't think it will be still working.

Hey mate, if you are confident enough to wear it then i think thats what matters most!

Typically a velvet jacket i find easier to wear at night when there is less light to make it so shiny smile.gif

I definitely think it's a night time piece, or at the very least a cloudy cold day piece. Certainly not for the upcoming summer. I do have a soft spot for a velvet blazer/dinner jacket though.
