I normally buy small in everything but I based on the measurements provided on the website I bought a medium KW polo.. which fits pretty well although slightly tight around the chest..

You would probably have to buy at least a large...

I agree - ud be at least a large.

im a medium RL custom - i bought a large Wang (lol) and it was too tight. Then i went to buy an X-Large Wang (lol-again) and it was massive on me.

Asked the sales rep - each colour fabric is a different "stretchiness" and some small variations in sizing. So no luck for me:(

Ouch. I use a local one at Wattle Park, I've not had any horror stories, then again I only have a couple of jackets. She's good at taking special directions if you ask for them, too, (unpressed lapels, etc).

Just used the last of my gift vouchers to pick up two knit ties - burgundy and green - for $120 all up!
Not a bad deal...

The green does look nice.

For those willing to wait, all knit ties on the TML site are currently 2 for $90 (2 for $100 less 20% plus $10 shipping).

I think you can use 'Australia' as a discount code and get the shipping free still.

Purchased during a stopover at P.Lal last Saturday:

Crockett & Jones Connaught

Monkstraps by Cheaney.

Nice haul (and view). Where is that around edgecliff/double bay?

Nice shoes, eightace! I have a Connaught from P Lal as well but in black. A great, solid shoe.

What's the quality of the Cheaney like compared to C&J? They had nothing in my size when I was there in January.

Some very fine shoes there eightace! I love that color for some reason, and have a pair of Westbourne's in the same. My trouble is i need some black shoes and am having trouble bringing myself to get some as I know they'll not get the wear they deserve...  shog[1].gif

New TML store on Sydney's King Street opens on Thursday 30th August, I suspect it will carry jumpers. Not sure if you get to Sydney much...

Thanks Gerry. These particular Cheaneys were one of their subs/seconds range, and if you were to get on your knees and bend down and peer behind the buckle on the left shoe, you would in fact notice a couple of blemishes on the upper. Other than that, I can find nothing wrong with them. They are certainly well constructed, with a lovely leather glove-like lining, great value at 699MYR. In fact, I was never a fan of monkstraps before I put these on - now I'm converted! Of course, the C&Js are first quality and therefore just look tidier, and the upper leather is nicer, maybe a bit softer, so they look and feel like a better shoe.

Thanks Jason, I'm very happy with the haul. I'm very grateful to this thread and its members for letting me know about P.Lal.

The view, which is from Potts Point, is something I never get tired of.

Cheers,

Eightace

Guys, thinking about exchanging my frequent flyer points for some gift cards. Myer, DJ or Westfield for best bang for buck and decent variety menswear?

Leaning towards the darker navy so I can wear it to the office. thoughts?

I reckon the lighter one is more versatile. Can wear the jacket as a coat and its dark enough for the office. Afterall it is linen which carries an air of casualness anyhow due to how it wears.
