^^ I get that, but particularly given your limited budget, that's a lot of trouble you're causing yourself just to get a slightly lighter shade of the same colour :/

Oh I very much agree. I've bought things I've not been completely happy with before, and they just end up sitting in my wardrobe unworn. I suppose it's trying to avoid that here which is making me stick to my colour choice so soundly.

Nicholas Cage in the tie die was particularly scary.

I'm thinking about taking advantage of that free shipping on some Owen and James chinos, love the lime colour, has any one got a pair yet?

Gerry that suit looks great. I have a green birdseye suit which was made for Chester Barry, one of my fav fabrics....although they made the jacket like a sack.

Hello! I'm very excited about the suit. Love the fabric! You should post pics of your suit.

I had a look at the Owen and James chinos - very interesting. I would love to see some fit pics though, just to get an idea of how they look when worn.

New suit commission looks good. I have an appointment with Tom next week to get another suit and a few more shirts. I thinking something grey and sensible(ish) to go with my navy and sensible(ish) one. Then I will get something a little more interesting next time. Really looking forward to it.

Thanks, PS. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you end up with. Sensible(ish) doesn't have to equate to boring and I can't wait to see what you end up choosing.

Pie place (Dinkum Pies) in Block Place, is pretty good too.

Coincidentally, I had a late lunch in here today and thought I would chime in to echo what you guys have said - excellent burger and it wasn't even the Wagyu. I've got to try Dinkum Pies one day as well.

This is our brown sample pair - different lighting to the store and we prefer with a 2inch cuff.

shown with MTO suede RM's :)

Snippet of today's SMH article on Myer's Bernie Brookes:

But he admitted that global price harmonisation - to ensure local prices are competitive with what overseas sellers can offer - is one of the last pieces of the puzzle needed to make all this work.

Surveys of in-store customers indicate that these clients rate convenience, fashion/style, service and price in that order, but it is a different story for online.

‘‘When we survey our customers online, price is number one,’’ he said.

Mr Brookes said the 20 per cent of the company’s range is house brands and these are unaffected by price harmonisation. Another 40 to 45 per cent of the department store’s sales are globally price competitive.

‘‘However we’ve probably got 20 to 30 per cent of the range which is not competitive on a world scale,’’ he said, naming cosmetic companies and mens apparel as two of the main culprits.

Who else is tired of being ripped off?

Just got myself a pair of Thurston braces from Tolley and posted a mini review. Along with the houndstooth tie, they'll get their first outing at the wedding I'm attending today.

Gents, wondering what your thoughts are on rocking this Henry Carter tie:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

With this suit: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I think the colours would work, but not so sure about mixing a wool tie with a cotton suit.

^^ I'd vastly prefer a knit tie with that suit I think.
