Difference between the 2 from my experience is Pediwear don't hold all of the stock on their site, often they need to order off Loake or whoever which can add a further couple of days to the order before it's shipped. Herring seem to only let you purchase what is in stock (correct me if I'm wrong someone). They also have quick shipping and even a discount code for free shoe trees I believe (just search the forum for it).
Cheers

Absolutely correct re Herrings, Adrian stocks what is on his site and postage is usually about 12-15 days

Sadly Brisbane is warm enough to wear summer trousers all winter tho. I was wearing fresco (!) a few days ago.

Anyone hear much about this new Aussie company Owen & James I've been seeing pop up on Tumblr lately? I know one of the members here has been re-blogging a bit of there stuff. There is not much on there site but it looks pretty good anyway. Shirts made in the USA is a nice change.

Is it someone here flying under the radar?

P.S Go to this one http://www.owenandjames.com/ and not www.owenjames.com.au. The latter, while fantastic is definitely NSFW. If your in the comfort of your own home, go nuts.

I mainly love it for the outdoors opportunities and having so much bush around and of course for me the close proximity to the snowy mountains and the exceptional fly fishing that goes with it. And the whole family, friends, fiance etc too of course are all here.

just discovered Lonsdale Street Roasters has a very Melbourne aesthetic in the wastelands of Civic, good coffee.

Canberra if you ask me is all about the natural environment, most of the built environment in this town is shit. And its still -2c and the dog is firmly welded to the heater. FUBAR

Ha Ha - should have put private browser on for that! Ill have some explaining to do.

The  Owen and James shirts do look good though- good to see more people giving menswear a go. Ive just ordered a couple of MT shirts based around a really well fitting shirt i have so ill have to wait and see how they go before i consider any more. I even tried on some of MJ Bales shirts on (they were 5 for 250) but they just didnt fit perfectly so i let them go.

Funny I just went there yesterday for the first time to see what the hype was about. Wasn't that impressed to be honest. I reckon they are too busy and pumping them out too quick.

Lots of hipsters too and fixies (FXH would hate it).

I agree. It wasn't that great on the one occasion that I went, and yes, it was hipster central. But without entrepreneurial hipsters, we'd probably be drinking far more inferior coffee, so I don't mind them as much anymore.

Mate I'm gonna miss you again! I'll be up in Bundaberg that weekend for my Grandmothers 90th b'day.

Must have been too early in the day for hipsters, place was full of APS types. Coffee was ok

I didn't know APS types and hipsters were mutually exclusive?

I'd have thought working 7 hours and 36 minutes a day left ample time for other more important activities, like sitting on milk crates? biggrin.gif
