Ahhh! Suspected ink stain on one of my favourite ties bought on holiday in Florence a couple of years ago (I suspect its the water based ink that I use in my fountain pen). As with all stains, it couldn’t have fallen on the navy stripe, but rather the green stripe so that it could stand out like dogs balls. Might pay the dry cleaners a visit in the off chance he can do something about it...

Anyone bought anything from Yoox before? I have no idea whether their 3 button jackets are suppose to be 3 button or 2.5 buttons, eg.

Anyone have any opinions on Elite dry cleaners down in the Galleria?

Think it's time to give my suits a good cleaning. Biggest fear is having lapels pressed flat.

Best thing to do is go over and have a chat to the people who run it. If they aren’t on the same page as you on things like that, move on.

Before I handed over my P Johnson over to my local I pretty much interviewed him – he does everything in house, works 70+ hours a week, and has a little old man with 40 years experience in the trade. Both take quite a fair bit of pride in their work. What won me over was how they never press lapels flat, and don’t understand who would wreck a jacket by pressing the lapels flat.

No worries, still blows my mind in the snowies how beautiful it is every time I go, it's a bonus to the great trout fishing.

P.s for those of you asking about the shirts the other day the samples came in and there are a few pics up on my affiliate thread and tumblr. Need to do a few tweaks but very impressed on the whole. Only bummer is the knit ties that were supposed to be coming with them didn't and won't be here till next week. The joys of dealing with non English speaking manufacturers...
