They are dowdy and smelly dead persons shoes that would make you look like an old man*.
*However if someone like meister or me were to see that they were not our size and /or were too expensive and wrong colour and therefore didn't want them - you might consider them a very nice shoe.
I haven't been to costco - but I'm told they sell Grange Hermitage / Penfolds Grange at the cheapest price in town.
There Grange quota is very low per store, I think the Canberra store had five bottles, and I think that they also pushed the other major discounters eg Dan Murphy, 1at Choice ect down by around $20 a bottle to their listed prices. And it also sold out pretty quick from what I read in the SMH
Friday is here, and I'm off to the snowies tomorrow to have one last crack before the trout season ends next weekend, so I'm a happy man this morning.
I always wondered if there were any other fisherman on the forum. So do you fly fish? I am planning to fish the spawning run on the Cox's this year now that the dam is near 100%.
no, it's going to be a huge retail outlet, apparently called Emporium (like the old centre that was there). Because retail is doing so well at the moment, and there's no spare retail space in the city....

Sounds awesome! indeed I do fly fish and like most fly converts I'm well and truly hooked (pun intended). We are heading up to fish the upper Murrumbidgee, above tantangara. It will be good to get out on some new water. You know as much as I love having the business and all that nothing makes me happier than being out on a river in the middle of nowhere with waders on and a fly rod in my hand. It's magical stuff up in the high country and definitely one of the big advantages of being based in Canberra.

When i was working at JLL in Retail Leasing my boss and I were asked to pitch on the MYER EMPORIUM. It's 6 Levels of concessions, and they are trying to achieve rents of 6-10K per square meter (simillar to Pitt Street mall in Sydney rent wise).
The leasing is being done by some guys out of Sydney. BUT it could well be harbouring a Uniqlo on one of the levels which is why I was inquisitive. its going to be a great building in IMO, something more or less like a Selfridges in London.

One of the most exxy rents in the world! There are guys that were paying more in rent per sqm than they are earning in sales per sqm last year...
