Mine were posted on the 3rd or may and are expected to arrive on the 16th? Even with such heavy shipping, they are still good contenders. Will report back with pics/impressions when I receive mine.

That is pretty steep for that kind of transit time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them.

Are Meermins the latest craze after Carminas that followed C&Js?.

I ordered shoe trees from Endless.com on Friday evening and they arrived today.

I celebrated my birthday last week and I got myself a birthday present from The Armoury - ordered on Friday morning and arrived today!

Nice tie Gerry - it's not by any chance the black / purple Sam Hober grenadine?

No, this is one of the Charvet bi-coloured ties.

Maybe Blahman. I missed the first crazes. Meermin are more suited to my budget so whilst i might envy the G and G's, Carmina's and C&J's that other have- i can afford meermin.

Yes but much cheaper (150 /250 euro)... The also do very cheap non Horween shell (not avaliable atm). Its also not a pita get ala DC Lewis.

You forgot Vass/ other A/H shoes in your summary.

Word on the street is very good value but... the lack of stock makes it hard to be sure.

Eta:

I can only see the increase in quality in the area between JL/EG/G&G/StC and Loake/AE* as a good thing.

Enlarged the photo and noticed it's quite different. My bad. Anyhow, nice tie!

Happy happy day today. My watch is finally alive again! Replaced half the internal organs though so it's basically a Frankenwatch now.

Re shipping forwarders I've used a few, best is hop shop go. They are really cheap, they have negotiated cheap rates with the courier companies and are in part supported by PayPal.

I actually sent their rates to another shipping company and they were shocked at how cheap it was.

Cost me $150 to have skis and bindings shipped to Au.
