I already own plan Navy and Charcoal suits in addition to a standard navy blazer and assorted trousers. Any thoughts? I'm thinking the blue will be a little more subtle, but in saying that I think blue pinstripe has been done so badly in Australia for so long that it has a negative image.

What book are they from?

The second one looks terrific, as does CBT5/A1797/33

Pretty excited by some of those oxford shirts for $30. Has anyone got one? What are they like?

Not that I've ever owned anything by Uniqlo, but reputation leads me to believe that this sounds like very good news for menswear in Oz, and (more) very bad news for their competition (wandered into a French Connection the other day, god what a load of shit).

by the way, that last pic of SMcQ isn't actuall him, it's some actor they made up to (try and) look like him for a campaign a couple of years ago. Looks fkn terrible if you ask me.
There's an actor in that Homeland series who has more than a passing resemblance to SM.

95% sure we'll get screwed on pricing. i check the uk uniqlo site from time to time and its been going up 20% year on year.
the japanese selvedge denim and basic cashmere knits were once 40 pounds each.

If their stuff aint cheap then it's just another store selling OK gear at inflated prices. No wonder retailers call Oz Treasure Island.

I was looking at that umbrella just this morning on Mr Porter. Wondering about the brand's quality especially when the price is pretty much on par with Fox.

edit: I sort of worry about these expensive umbrellas that are not made of one piece cane in Australia given how bloody windy it always is on any given day and almost off your feet windy on the forcasted windy days.

The 1st one really doesn't capture the depth of texture & colour. Really really good. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

NB: the website doesn't have all the options.

I ordered MJ Bale's Westferry blue blazer last week, now I get a call telling me they couldn't find it in my size at all.

If it was not in stock in 36R, why put label it as 36R in stock on your website? baldy[1].gif

On the bright side, I am no longer broke for the month icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

... But I still don't have a proper blue jacket cloud.gif

I've got a few, bought for Y2000 each in Japan four or five years back (about $25). For the price, they are sensational. They have held up extremely well and after lots of wear they are so soft I could sleep in them.

I got a lambs wool cardigan for about the same price 6 months ago when I was in Tokyo. Not holding up as great as yours. Pills quite a bit under the arms. Quality must have gone down hill since.
