Sexy!

Edit: just in preparation for the herringbone sale, how slim are the herringbone trousers?
Sau compared to Rhodes and Beckett, or if PeeGee or anyone else knows cpmpared to the Sarti DItalia pants.

Trying to work out whether to snatch up size 30 or 32 cotton trousers/ chinos as I can be a little in between sizes.

- correct & not to labour the point, but please stop PM or emails me for deets on P Johnson as I am just a customer. - why is it so hard for some of you to go direct? This was the same with Herringbone - I would get PMs or emails about availability of size or stock?

This might sound like a novel idea, but have you considered trying them both on and seeing what you prefer?

They're slim. I'm also in between and have 30s let out a little. They fit nicely (shape, but not tight). If you're also a slim build I'd recommend the 30s. If you're pretty athletic, your legs may need the 32. Best go into a store and try them on.

Not really intending to head out to town today and the pop up sale is tomorrow so thats why I put this question forward.

I'm slim but i have a fat arse. Rhodes and Beckett 30 pants are tight around the thighs.

There have always been changerooms at the Herringbone warehouse sales that I've been to in Brisbane, although I guess that taking off shoes, taking off trousers, trying on two pairs of trousers and then putting your original trouses and shoes back on again is not necessarily something that you ideally want to be doing in a small, possibly temporary changeroom with a line of impatient people outside!

Still, better to do that than get the wrong size.

Having said that, for what it's worth, the Herringbone cotton trousers do run pretty slim, a bit slimmer than the trousers for the Osaka-block suits.

So what you're saying is to wear tracky dacks and jaypee's new slippers to a HB popup sale?

Bloody gorgeous!!! Wear them as casual shoes and to hell with what everyone else thinks, that is what they were made for. By the way, Aussies thinking of buying Edward Greens from the London Jermyn shop should just be warned - BE VERY VERY CAREFUL!!!!! I have owned EG for decades, but these guys are not the same trustworthy clean cut guys we came to rely on in the past. They use pretty dodgy business practices these days, be warned. They are engaged in price fixing to keep USA and European and other international prices aligned despite exchange rates. Edward Green is not the same trustworthy company we all became used to over the last few years. Doing business with them now is like trying to buy a pair of shoes from some cheap bazaar stall in Calcutta - think sleezy, very very sleeeezy. If you really must have Edward Greens, buy them from a retailer like Edwards of Manchester or from the USA even, in the long run it is much easier. Over the last 2-3 years I have been forced to replace my EG with other brands as each pair comes due for replacement because it is just leaves a bad taste in the mouth trying to deal with anyone at the firm. For those shoes which I cannot get from other shoemakers, i have found buying off some of the old well established reputable retailers is still possible, but forget about going direct to EG unless you are willing to get a royal screwing from them. If anyone wants more info let me know, send me a PM.

BrandsExclusive.com.au (similar to Ozsale.com.au) has JFold Wallets and Belts on sale at $33-35. Pretty good deal, even compared with the US prices.

Chinos are worn a little lower (I choose too) they are also about 1 size bigger than the 30 as I can wear them much lower. They have quite a few Bader (straight cut) and quite a few Kiel(?) which is a much looser fit (read alot, baggy) I have noted other people tend to find the seat rides high with a bigger back side and felt more comfortable with the Kiel. They RRP $250? Sale price was $50 in sydney. Suiting - Go the smaller size. They are true to size but I always get the 30 and fit a 30 normally. If it is firm that is good, if you cant move your man bits get the next size up. They will stretch out being wool. You have 4cm (one size) in all pants in waist band and seat. Plenty of experience with these trousers, dont wear anything else. If you get the NYD cut (Suiting - New york) it will have more room in the leg for your fat ass...

Thanks for the info guys.
Today's the day! Going bird watching after work. Expecting to spot a muster of peacocks with a fluff in their breasts at the Sofitel

I wonder how easy it is to spot you boys: pocket square, short hemmed pants, English shoes (and more likely to be oxfords) and foraging for items a lot of other men won't dare approach?
