Bluetooth headset

I'm not sure what category this post should go in, but I figured it's an accessory, so here it is. I recently got a Samsung D500 with bluetooth, and I have to say, this is just a must-have accessory. Paired with the motorola headset, it gives you unparalled freedom from your phone... I never really used a wired headset because it just seemed so awkward, the small motorola makes it easy to use, voice dialing and 1 touch answer means you never need to even take your phone out to use it. Sound quality is not too bad, and while it's slightly pricey ($79 for the headset, $300 min or so for compatible phone) its worth every penny IMO. A must for travelers.

I use a bluetooth headset (Jabra FreeSpeak 250) with my cellphone (Motorola V551) and I like it too. They are quite handy. Especially when you're driving around, or talking to a friend while cleaning the kitchen. Heh heh.

I like my Bluetooth headset, but find that it is never fully charged when I really need it to be. I'm actually considering having a hardwired Bluetooth kit installed in my car. A friend of mine just bought an Acura with the built-in Bluetooth system and he loves it because he never has to take his phone out of his briefcase.

My Jabra headset takes about 2-3 hours to charge fully, and stays charged for about a week of normal use.

My Motorola BT headset doesn't get used that often, but when I need it, it is usually for something like a long conference call when I am stuck in traffic. That's when I discover that its battery has slowly drained down between maintenance charges--usually dying halfway through the call. Murphy's law at its finest.

I feel as though bluetooth headsets are one of those things that will never, ever look good, and I will personally never use one. Honestly, I don't see the need; if I can't hold the phone and devote all of my attention to the person on the phone, I wouldn't be having a conversation anyways.

i really like it i hope i dont appear like a douche wearing it..

The flip side is that if you are driving and NOT using one, IMO you shouldn't be on the phone.

If you are on the phone, AT ALL, while driving, you are taking a big risk. Studies indicate it is not, actually, the manual manipulation of the phone that disrupts concentration, it is the act of being engrossed in conversation itself that is the most dangerous element. /rant Disclosure: I ride motorcycles and have had near hits with people talking on the phone.

This is the same reason I sew up the lips of all passengers and filled my radio speakers with porridge.

A lot of the newer cars have built-in bluetooth that'll quiet your stereo and use your speakers for the call when you get one.
