Some of these shoes look like they'd never fit my feet... in fact some of them look like they're shaped for people with club feet. Some of them really look to me like Edmonds... very clunky.
To each his own, I suppose, but I'd point out that: 1. Vass shoes usually look better in person than in pictures. 2. Yes, many of these shoes are a bit clunky. That's the idea. There really isn't any comparison between Vass shoes and Allen-Edmonds. 3. Vass lasts tend to be banana shaped, meaning that there's a very distinct curve to the outside of the shoe. It's actually much more natural than the more symmetrical lasts that English makers tend to favor. You don't need to have club feet to wear them. In fact, I'd wager that most people would find the Budapest last or the Banana last or the P2 last more comfortable than anything that Edward Green uses.
