RL Flat Front Flannels

I am working on a successful "hip guy" look and could use some help. I am 5'10" medium build wear a 42R RL suit. Do the cuffs work on the flat fronts? Does the tucked in sweater work? How can I pair these pants for a great hip/casual look? Should I get cuffs or no?? I have a great 1st gen RLPL cashmere sweater (cashmere is like butter) with a collar and three buttons like a polo shirt. Can I wear that tucked in with a black belt? White collar shit under or no (thus giving a refined yet old fashioned douple collar look). Or just a cashmere v-neck over a t-shirt?? Or add color??

If your moniker is oldskool why are you trying to look hip? But seriously, I love slim, flat front flannel trousers. The RLPL cashmere sweater and white dress shirt (hopefully, you're wearing a shirt and NOT shit) sounds nice, but a tad affected with the double collar. I would opt for a collared tee underneath; a complimentary rather than contrasting color is preferred. Once it gets a tad warmer, I'll probably put together a slimmer outfit--flat front charcoal slacks fron Banana, a light gray tee, a chocolate cotton/silk V-neck from Malo, brown croc belt, and dark brown double monks.

What is the name for a sweater with the polo look, (collar and three buttons?) "Polo sweater"?? I always see Brooks Brothers showing the dress collar under the collar sweater... refined look I thought.

I bought a pair of those from RL and got them uncuffed.

I really like polo sweaters, but I wouldn't call them particularly "hip." I think a slim-fitting v neck would be a better idea. As for the pants, definitely go without cuffs.
