Actually prefer those to the red great choice especially going without the label and accompanying markup.

So what is the real difference between the Katahdins and the RW IR? Both looks very much alike.

Aside from the price, the most obvious differences are that the Iron Rangers have a range of color choices (amber, russet, hawthorne roughout, black, plus the J.Crew collab) and a more prominent, turned up and bulbous toebox. Compared to the non-roughout IRs, the Katahdins' leather has a slight nap and a more rugged finish; the Katahadin profile is more low-key and better suited to slimmer cut pants. Another consideration is that the IRs run up to a full size large, so if you have small feet even a size 7 may be too big.

Any suggestions on shoes for a moddish look? I find myself at a loss when wearing jeans and s/s gingham shirts, tucked. Sneakers feel too casual, PS shoes feel too dressed up (I have chens and nashes). Maybe some sort of tasseled loafer or derby?

Picked these up in "Oro," they look "gangsta" with dark denim etc. Returned em.

I picked them up in the Briar Oil Slick color and think they look great with khaki's and dark denim. I tend to wear slimmer chino's so the sleaker toe box on these chukkas worked better for me than the moc toes.

Apologies if this has been answered already - does anyone know of a UK supplier for the Katahdins?
