With the sale its not a bad price


I don't like NB so I'm not particularly useful on the first. Don't find anything special about the van's and the Chippewa can be had elsewhere for cheaper (not for Jcrew). The last two aren't particularly bad if you can get them for cheaper, but nothing to go crazy over imo.

Ok, long story short, I ended up getting these

I'm looking for a pair of boots in brown and i've no idea where to look in SF. I went to Bloomingdale's (don't laugh) and the only ones I saw that i liked were To Boot New York's Lincoln but for $400 i'd rather buy a better quality. My budget is actually $200. Is this possible to find a pair of brown boots for $200?

Those are the wings + horns x dayton service boots from a few years back. I think they went for something like $700

you can get the same boot here without the w+h logo and without the distressing: http://www.daytonboots.com/node/154

just ask for leather laces

what kind of boots are you looking for? the daytons are going to be more work booty, while a lot of people on sf right now are into side zips, jodpurs (sp?), etc.

fwiw, i got a pair of grenson wingtips off b&s for $150 and i fucking love them.

I wouldn't mess with to boot.
You can get some decent boots on the B&S forum for $2-300, maybe 350 max.
Trickers, aldens, daytons, redwings, F+B, etc.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they all got their boots. Plus I drove by their store on the weekend, definitely still there.
