It is just confusing the way you write your responses.

look dude i dont want to argue, all i said is guidi is not for me

ok - sweet, this has been fun.

Just out of curiosity - back to my original post - other than the AE or Wolverines anything I should check out that is "less suspect" (besides Alden - personally not a fan).

Ive debated on some Loakes and even the Herrings, but still a little annoyed that I have to order sight unseen, and probably have to return the first pair across the ocean.

If it helps, ill be out in SFO for a week...anywhere I should check out?

These Butteros from Barneys, consensus was to size down 1 or .5?

didnt someone just say they sized down 2

YMMV.

Mine were a different pair. I sized down 1.5 and they were a tough long, but 2 would've been too tight in the instep.

But yeah, YMMV as mine were a different pair to what people normally buy.

Best to try on if you get the chance.

Looking for a pair of slim black lace up boots, very casual to wear with black slim jeans and leather..
I found this one, can some one comment on it? Never heard of that brand.

Just got the Butteros, wasn't quite happy with them. Didn't like the color that much and I probably could have sized down 1 size for the length (had 1.5" in the toe), maybe even 1.5 depending on the instep. Gonna return for some F+B Elfs...they run TTS, right? Might start thinking of my boot size as 8.5

Would a Barney's co-op carry the same stuff as what they have on their site?

A great looking McNairy Brogue, classic with a twist.

Also that biggrin.gif

Seriously contrasting welt, silver eyelets, leather sole, color combination... I think it's a well done example of not too boring / not to crazy, and ridiculously unwearable shoes, like many of his shoes.
